Best Western Carmel's Town House Lodge

the motel is centrally located in the area that i wanted to spend my time in. the room had been newly remodeled. the breakfast was self serve and it was neat and clean. the fruit was fresh and everything in the kitchen worked as it should.

the newly remodeled bathroom had no ventilation fan. it did have a window that could be opened; however, being on the first floor i did not think it wise to leave it open.

Exceptional location in the center of Carmel, very clean rooms (we rented two-rooms king sweet, room with sofa bed is small, but good for one child or normal size adult), very friendly owner who was at the reception desk, parking; king bed and pillows were comfortable; central heating system (in the summer central air). In the morning the owner showed us several rooms that were already very nicely remodeled.

The staff was very kind, the room was pretty comfortable, quiet, and near to the beach!

For some reason, the hot water in the shower was not working, and my girlfriend hated that because we stayed almost in winter. However, we didn't try to fix it with the staff because we did not have much time for that due to our schedule.

I was looking for a quiet, clean, and affordable motel that would make me feel safe as a solo, car-less traveler. I normally turn my head to the Best Western name, but the reviews of this location actually surpassed a few other motels in the area so I kept it in mind and boy am I happy I did! I stayed here for 10-days to get some work done and hike around the beautiful area. I am still (a month later) so happy with my decision to stay here. Exceptionally friendly owner and staff, with a location you cannot beat for this price. I've stayed at other motels in this area for shorter trips, and although they were cute, I am now upset I wasted hundreds of dollars on my accommodations. Clean, quiet, and affordable, this Best Western provided me everything I needed for a perfect 10-day stay and is now my new go-to spot for a visit to Carmel.

Location was great, shampoo and conditioner was great too. Tv was great and place was quiet.

Fridge was insanely loud at night and there was no “hand soap”. Also, kind of muggy throughout the day. Pillows were so uncomfy too but bed was really comfy!

Love the location of this hotel! It is in walking distance to everything we wanted to see/eat in Carmel. The owners of the hotel showed us great hospitality and accommodated us with our requests. They were so friendly and provided us with local recommendations and coupons. The room was quiet, basic, but comfortable. We thought not having AC would be an issue, but it was perfectly cool in the rooms! The windows were easy to open and a fan was provided as well. Overall, this was the perfect place for us in Carmel and we will be back!

The owner Sanjay was really friendly and gave a lot of recommendations on where to go in Carmel. The room is clean and beds are comfortable.

Breakfast is good but only a few choices but it’s ok. Parking is a challenge, if you come back late after a trip around the coast

The location was excellent, we were able to walk to the centre of town and the beach very quickly. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful, even suggesting walks to take. We took one of the suggested walks and it was beautiful. The free breakfast was a nice perk.

pool not available due to Covid???? pool very small. take away breakfast….due to Covid???? should have allowed sit down breakfast. lighting in the room much too dark. needs more lamps/brighter bulbs refrigerator froze our fresh fruit

I'm so happy we stayed here! It was my first time going to Carmel and I had no idea how lucky we got in staying at Best Western. The location was absolutely perfect- walking distance to everything while still maintaining privacy and peace. The rooms were clean and the staff was incredibly accommodating. COVID has made life very difficult for everyone this year and the kindness and genuine care we received there was exceptional. Highly recommend!
