This is a very nice well established Inn in Carmel right in the hub of things, all restaurants, galleries and shops are minutes away. The rooms are on multiple levels and you can, from the top two floors, see the sea! Our room was large had a wrap around veranda with 2 sun beds and an outside dining table which was a nice touch for a sunny Californian day! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was excellent and the bathroom large with lots of hot water. Private on site parking helps when travelling through. The noise level between rooms was minimal (which is something you often have to consider with older Inns) : all in all a very well managed property. The price to quality ratio very good.

Breakfast buffet was in a dedicated space which could easily have been made more attractive. The breakfast selection was OK but only offered paper plates and plastic cutlery … (impossible to spread butter or cut bacon with!!) : sadly it all felt a little ‘temporary’ and rushed. I think without too much effort this could really be improved

I LOVED Carmel Bay View Inn! The facilities are super clean, the free parking is a plus, and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The best part of the inn is the staff. From the front desk to the cleaning crew, everyone is super friendly and accommodating. I connected really well with Karla, who is super cordial and makes connections with the guests as they check-in, check-out and in between., Carmel Bay View Inn will be our home away from home. We plan to go back in October!

I wish I had an extra day to stay! Carnel is such a cute town and with the hotel at walking distance to everything, it made it super easy to walk around and go back to rest before going out again.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. It was great having the balcony to sit on in the morning. The bathroom was great, and the property was in a great location for the restaurants and shops. Parking was easy, and the breakfast was a great start to the day.

I appreciate that having disposable plates makes things easier at breakfast, but it’s not very eco friendly. It would have been good to have a map of the town on arrival, and maybe some discounts to local places to eat/drink!

We had an ocean view king room with fireplace - the view was spectacular and the best part of the room! The hotel is a refurbished older property. The updated rooms are nice and comfortable but nothing special. The bathroom was small but functional. The location is great and walkable to downtown Carmel restaurants and the beach. Be aware that the hotel is up a hill if you are in an ocean view room and may be a difficult walk for people with mobility issues and you will need to drive. The staff is great, very friendly and accommodating.

No screens on the patio door to the deck and the spectacular views. We would have liked to have been able to leave the door open and not worry about any bugs flying in. The deck had chairs and a table but a couple of plants and a bit of decor would have been nice.

Location was amazing. Staff were very friendly. Neighborhood felt comfortable and safe. I felt comfortable walking around and exploring the shops and surrounding area on foot (as a solo female traveler). Check in and check out process was smooth. For Carmel area, for the price, it was a very good stay.

The facility felt a little old but that was part of its charm. Some of the outlets in my room didn’t work so charging my phone was a little inconvenient. No microwave which would have been handy.

Carmel Bay View Inn is a "sweet spot". Conveniently located in the middle of everything. Beach is a 5 minute drive, lots of restaurants/shops within walking distance, Bruno's market/liquor store next door, AND a heated pool! Hotel also has covered parking, and some rooms have fireplaces. Rates depending on the time of year/month are reasonable compared to other spots in Carmel. Best restaurants nearby (across the street) Vesuvio, The Forge, & The Flying Fish is a 5 minute walk. Staff super nice & helpful. My tv was acting up, so I called guest services & they brought me a new one. For a cool Cali getaway, check out Carmel Bayview Inn! Thanks guys!

The room was clean and very comfortable, the pool was really good too. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was as you would expect for a continental buffet style.

I think for the money I expected more, but Carmel is very expensive. We paid for a sea view but although we had a good sized balcony the sea was a long way from the property and due to the fog that descends over Carmel we couldn’t decide if we had a sea view or not! We had a good view of the car park though. The walls were quite thin, we could hear the ladies in a nearby room laughing, they were having a great time!

The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. There was plenty of car parking and the location was great - really close to everything. We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast.

The bathroom was rather old fashioned with a small shower over the bathtub. Soundproofing is poor between neighbouring rooms and the plumbing was very noisy. Very expensive but we were staying during car week.

The location was very convenient- in town. The size of the rooms was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Linens and towels were clean.

I had booked a king suite to get an extra space to sit and work. The sitting area was too small for any of it.The breakfast, even though had few option, didn't feel or taste fresh. The eggs tasted as if they were artificial. And I am not sure why they use paper plates and plastic utensils. This doesn't sound environmentally friendly.

Location is excellent, right in the middle of town, we parked up and walked everywhere in the evening. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was very nice. The gentleman on reception when we checked in was one of a kind. Pool was lovely too.

No complaints, lighting in the room could be better, shower small but it was fine for us for a couple of nights.
