We were a family of 4 adults sharing the Stephenson Luxury House (3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms). The room was clean and the location was good for walking around this charming town.

I hesitate to say this but I wouldn't call this a "luxury house" as described. It was more homey and comfortable. The shampoo and conditioner provided were not good quality and only a tiny bar soap was provided to wash your hands and/or bathe with so plan on bringing your own items. The house served our purpose and as mentioned, it was clean so that's the most important thing in my book. Sorry to say but the "luxury" description was a bit of a stretch. I also don't know why they max the guest count to 4 people for this room as there is enough bedding for 6 people (2 queens and 2 twins).

We like the location and the comfort of the room. It felt like we were at home. It has everything we need.

We didn't like the fact that we don't have parking for the room we've selected.

Loved the location of the property, loved that we had a literal kitchen so we could go and stock up on food since we stayed for 7 days. The beds were extremely cozy as well!

There was no tv in Stevenson 4 and the chairs in the living room didn’t recline which made it a bit uncomfortable at night. And also the parking wasn’t the best but it was manageable. The parking garage was a bit small for my car, I didn’t park in it because I didn’t want to get stuck inside.

Absolutely darling location! Pet friendly. Convenient. Spectacular all around. Did not stressed one moment regarding where to park my rental vehicle. It’s the BEST BUGALOW/cottage in Carmel. Hands down awesome!! Will stay here from now on.

Construction next door. If you plan to stay during normal business. This is not the place to sleep in. You can’t avoid the construction taking place next door with boom lift safety sensor beeping excessively at 8 am until they are done. That’s the ONLY FALL BACK on this location. Stay here on Saturday and/or Sunday ONLY. Unless you don’t mind the beeping from construction and noise.

The room was clean and comfortable, plenty big enough for two. The bathroom had everything needed with a hairdryer, and also a nice selection of "smellies" to use. The bed was comfortable and there was also a fridge and coffee making facilities. It's also only a few yards from a really nice tavern, which seemed really popular.

Difficult to find anything that we didn't like other than it took a minute to realise we could regulate the heating on our first morning.

Super comfy king bed, gorgeous location but we didn't have time to walk around. Having a car park was wonderful. The host at reception was very friendly & welcoming thank you. We loved the quaint architecture and vibe of the street. Pub on corner was well appreciated for dinner as we arrived late. Felt safe in this location and hotel. Quiet and peaceful stay. Very good amenities in room. Wifi included. We drove to Big Sur the next day & saw the seals at Monterey on way back so we didn;t get time to visit Carmel beach unfortunately. But the 17 mile drive in Carmel South area was magnificent. We would love to stay longer next time.

There was no fan, ceiling fan or air con, so room was too warm. In summer it would very hard. Also a mini fridge would be greatly appreciated especially by international travellers. Longer car parking in street would be challenging without a designated park at this hotel.

The room is large and having a fire place without extra charge is always a benefit, especially since in this area most laces charge extra. the Location is EXCELLENT, you can walk to everything in the area so no need for a car once you arrive.

I was not aware that it was no longer a bed and breakfast. The particular room I was in is beginning to look dated and old. The sofa is very old and sunk in the middle.

The location was exceptional for my business trip needs. It's right in the heart of Downtown Carmel, so it was very easy to explore the town and walk to dinner. It was also less than 15 minutes to where my assignment was in Carmel Valley.

You pay a little premium to use the off-street parking but pulling my mid-size pickup into the tight and hard to maneuver-in parking areas was quite difficult. While the facility is well-maintained there was way too much noise coming from a room located above mine in the cottage style buildings. You can hear every step the other guests made.

We enjoyed the charm of our unit. It was well appointed. The staff was welcoming and professional.

The weather was rather cool when we were there and it was impossible to make the room warm despite the fireplace that generated little heat and the same for the « heater ».

Very private. On site parking in secured area. The only heat is a gas fireplace which was warm enough but when we first turned it on it had a unpleasant oder. It did go away after we left for dinner, then came back and turned it on again and then it didn’t smell. I like the idea that it had a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable.

It’s a bit dated. The bathroom area could use some updating. The closet area is very small.
