Very friendly welcome, good explanation about the room and the surrounding area. The central location and walking distance to the beach as well as the small breakfast in the morning. Very charming town though focusing on wealthy people rather than average tourists.

WiFi unfortunately did not work in the room in the evening and morning. The water pressure in the shower was practically non-existent.... But that was really the only thing that can be criticized. Otherwise, top price-performance ratio and very central location to reach all amenities on foot.

There’s a discrepancy in on site paid fees vs quoted amount from Booking.com. very unusual amount, $62.15. I am hopeful this is resolved my on site management in day or two. I am confident, once I explained the matter, it will be resolved.

Carmel Oaks Inn is a very quiet, clean, comfortable hotel. Rooms have everything you need. It is very close to all shopping boutiques end great restaurants. Our room had a balcony with a table and two chairs. When you walk up the stairs to get to the second floor, there is a cozy terrace with tables and chairs where you can sit and enjoy glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to your door at no extra cost! Staff is very welcoming. It was a very pleasure stay.

The front desk accommodated my evening check in time. The location was convenient. The room was clean and everything was working. The bed was comfortable, and it had a nice full bathroom with a tub. The continental breakfast basket was delivered outside my door in the morning with fruit, yogurt, juice, breakfast bars, and was delightful!

There needs to be several bottles of purified water in the room. And it would be helpful to have a note posted next to the phone inside the room on how to ring through to the front desk.

The location was superb, everything was in easy walking distance. It was very quiet. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was decent. The staff were helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The coffee machine in the room was a filter machine and the coffee bag provided did not make a decent brew. Only shampoo and conditioner provided. No shower gel or shower cap.

The breakfast was very well presented and a good variety.

We wanted to celebrate the 4th of July with a trip to Carmel and were willing to pay post-pandemic prices ($$$) to get away from home for a few days. This hotel property is located in very close proximity to all of the town's best restaurants, art galleries, cafe's and is not too far from the beach. We walked everywhere, and left our car at the hotel, which was so helpful given the very challenging parking situation. The hotel manager was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They provided a small picnic basket every morning with cereal, milk, yogurt, fruit, oj, and breakfast bars, which was very thoughtful and helped us keep our expenses in check during the trip. The room itself was one of the small king rooms on the 2nd floor. It was clean, and had everything we needed including a mini refrigerator, microwave, desk/chair, flat screen TV, working heat, lots of light in the room, overhead fan, usb and regular outlets in convenient locations, and a shower with hot water and good water pressure. We found it to be quiet and restful. The one negative I would share is that the bed itself was not overly comfortable (too hard) and I woke up a few times in the night due to this, but recognize this is a matter of personal preference. This was our first time staying here and we would absolutely come back. We hope prices have come down a bit by then as the world returns to normal!

Perfect location. We parked our car when we arrived and didn’t use it again until we left.

The shower was very small. We are not even slightly big and it was difficult to rinseoff due to the shower size.

Location was perfect. Room was ok, parking on premises was good.

Bathroom/shower cabin was tiny. Breakfast was ok, but not very exciting. There was no HD connection on the TV so it was not possible to connect our PC to the TV for streaming of own material.
