Special dedication to the staff, they were all so great, helpful and make you feel welcome ! Thanks again very much for your help during the stay. I also liked the ocean view, the free bikes. The room was also modern and pretty inside.

2 minors things: - The fact we had to give the bike back at the end of each day, could be nice to be able to keep it later in the night for being able to comeback from Manhattan centre or Hermosa after midnight, which lead to my second minor thing. - Location is a little bit too far from Manhattan centre.

Perfect location right up from the beach and on the main strip full of shops and restaurants. I had a beautiful ocean view and wonderful shower with great water pressure, plus awesome access to TV and streaming!

I think for the value I got what I paid for. There were some things that could have used a deeper clean, but nothing too off putting. The noise from highland ave is present. Other than that, solid and I’m very happy with my stay. I’d go back and recommend it if you’re looking for a beach stay on a budget!

The location was excellent, close to the beach & boardwalk, great views even from the hotel, several restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Manhattan Beach is only a 10 min walk and has good shopping and restaurants. I rated this property a 10 because the staff was VERY accommodating and friendly! We borrowed bikes to ride on the beach, we could stow our luggage on day of departure and we were able to upgrade our room. We didn’t rent a car, but they had parking at the hotel for a reasonable fee. After paying a bundle on a car service to go all over LA, might consider renting next time. The accessibility of the boardwalk very close by was a highlight. The newly renovated market a block away was very convenient for drinks, lunch and some odds and ends. Would stay again if in MB in the future!

There really isn’t much we didn’t like. The only thing lacking was no breakfast, although there are several great breakfast places within a block of the hotel. One point of caution- the street to get down to the beach is steep. You can take it slow and it’s not bad, but pushing the bikes up the street was a bit tough. Alternatively, could take more surface streets instead to get to the pier/beach, just less riding along the beach.

Brilliant ocean view room, two blocks back from the beach. As there is no lift at the property we struggled to get our heavy suitcases up the narrow stairs but the very helpful gentleman who checked us in carried them for us and then helped us down the stairs when we checked out. Despite being on a fairly main road we didn't hear any noise at night. Only ten minutes in a taxi from LAX airport.

Unfortunately there is no lift at the property.

The BEST location - about three blocks down to the beach on pedestrian-only walk. Many restaurants and coffee shops nearby, including the best French bakery directly below us. Staff was young, but very friendly and helpful. Amenities were good enough, including fridge and microwave - always helpful.

I believe this is an older structure, but a fan in the bathroom would've been great. A pod coffee pot would have been better than old Mr. Coffee and ground coffee.

The apartment was quaint and sufficient for the needs of 7 women in Manhattan to watch the AVP. Might choose the apartment with 2 bathrooms next time! The kitchen and bathroom were stocked for 4 guests but extra towels were offered freely. Eddie at the reception desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of places to eat within a few blocks.

The couch wasn't particularly comfortable for sitting and street noise was noticeable.

Staff: extremely nice and helpful. Very willing to make recommendations, set up bike and towels loaners for the beach. Food: Nice little Restaurants around especially for breakfast. Location: While it takes a good hike to get down/up to the beach, quiet and clean. Loaner Stuff: Free use of bikes, chairs, towels...

General Updates: Given the price per night, our room could use a facelift...

The location was good. The room was good. The location was not far from downtown Manhattan Beach so it was decent. Plenty of parking. The staff was friendly. I like that the clerk called me at 10:00 a.m. to remind me checkout was at 11. It was a very clean room. Refrigerator was cold. It had the kitchen utensils needed. Overall it was a good experience.

The pocket door to the bathroom was not installed properly. It was very hard to open, and very loud. The battery to the remote control for the fans was dead. The sofa sleeper was comfortable, according to the kids, but was missing a screw to attach the frame to the sofa. I didn't like the 20.00 charge to park my car for the price of the room. I feel it should have been included.
