Sands Hotel and Spa

The room was nice, stylish and VERY clean! Pool area gets cleaned well also. There’s pool service. Food and drinks are okay. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

Bed wasn’t very comfortable but it’s a matter of personal preference. Mattress was a bit too soft and pillows were huge so if you’re a side sleeper better off without them at all.

Room was spacious. I really enjoyed having the balcony. The soaking bathtub was wonderful. Appreciated the bath salts! Mini-bar was well stocked. Richard, the massage therapist, is amazing. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent.

The pool wasn’t very clean or clear, which surprised me, considering how clean everything else was. Restaurant food was bland. I eat a low-salt diet, so that wasn’t an issue for me, though I heard several people asking for salt. The flavor just wasn’t there, unfortunately.

The property is very nicely maintained and clean. The staff in reception are polite, friendly and informative. The on-site restaurant/bar was very nice and comfortable. Food and drinks delicious. The bartender/wait staff were also warm, friendly and provided great service. Pool area is very nice with large cushioned chairs/beds. Pets are welcomed and their owners were very respectful of others. Our room was lovely and clean, with great choices for snacks or alcohols, should you desire anything.

I didn’t find anything negative about this property.

The decor was very hip and cool - the property is small, intimate and elegant. Very "old school". I am not one for needing a lot of amenities such as gym, game room, gift shop, etc. so this worked well for me. I wanted a relaxing, peaceful environment which is exactly what this was. Others who want more activities and amenities may want a larger property elsewhere. I also loved the proximity to "the Nest" restaurant - a very fun Palm Desert hot spot!

There truly was nothing I didn't like! This hotel did it for me in every single way. It will be my new "go-to" in the desert! I even loved the delicious ice tea at checkin.

The whole experience from start to finish was extremely good. We got upgraded, the staff was very professional and friendly. The room was very spacious and well appointed. Mattress was unbelievable. Our breakfast was one of the best I have had in any hotel in the desert cities. Service top notch. This deserve is overall the best I have stayed in for a long time.

No complaints...these guys have done a great job

The whole property is lovely and the rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The pink Cabana is great staff friendly and Richard in the Spa is the best massage therapist EVER!

only thing would be maybe a full length mirror in rooms but that’s if I had to be really petty and or picky

First timers as we celebrate our anniversary i surprised her by selecting this gorgeous hotel and after that your whole staff took over and made it very special. She loved it, took pictures everywhere she could the facility is well maintained, clean and had a modern look to it. Awesome! Definitely coming back.

From the minute we entered the property it felt like we’d gone much further away than the two plus hours we’d driven from LA. The grounds are stunning, the rooms are beautifully designed, but it was the level of customer service that puts The Sands Hotel at the very top of the collection of boutique hotel establishments available to travelers coming to the greater Palm Springs area. I had almost forgotten how good great customer service actually feels. This place is truly a gem.

I’m not the only one who’s discovered it.

It was such a perfect secluded getaway that we booked an extra night. So happy we did so we could have a date night at their fantastic restaurant. Rooms are cozy and aesthetically pleasing. If you love a good bath, spend a little extra to upgrade to a room with a tub because they are divine. Food menu changes for breakfast, lunch and dinner with many delicious options. The French toast in the morning is definitely a “treat yo self” item and well worth it. Pair it with the Turkish iced coffee and you’re in heaven.Their chicken tacos served as my lunch almost every day and be sure to treat yourself to their hummus plate. Their naan is incredible! Cocktails are wonderful with a range of options for almost any palette. And they offer great non alcoholic options as well (for us pregnant individuals or other non-drinkers.) On top of that the staff was helpful, efficient and super friendly. Our overall stay was perfect for the relaxation we needed and we will absolutely be booking again.
