There is no parking on site, there is a parking garage nearby they partner with that allows you to park for $42 a day.

Beautiful old building that was built in 1906! Staff was friendly, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Very affordable! Was great for our short stay.

Window was too heavy to keep open and the room was very warm (not great for summer), I knew ahead of time not to expect AC as it’s a very old building and those are expensive and hard to update! Luckily, there was a box fan in the room and I informed staff that I couldn’t keep the window open. Best of luck, truly, to the owners of Amri! I hope you can finish updating the building. It is beautiful and I hope to stay again in the future.

Right from the start Rae at the front desk was SUPER helpful and friendly. We stayed 3 nights & the room had everything we needed. It was clean & tidy. They helped us with directions & sorted a cab to take us to airport. This hotel is at UNION SQUARE so is close to everything, cable cars, hop on hop off busses, restaurants & all the BIG name retail shops as well as the cheaper neighborhood ones. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

English breakfast tea bags & liquid milk would have been great, but having said that STARBUCKS is a 3 min walk away.

I learned that they are a new management, so explains why some fixtures in the rooms are still a bit outdated. The issues that come with aging buildings that did not got much maintenance is that some areas are causing the operation to be more expensive therefore less profit at the end of the day. Hopefully they can catch up soon. Other than that it’s an affordable place to stay for vacation time

Pleasant surprise it was clean and most of all very quiet room was old school, but very cozy. I like the bathroom and it’s stark white tile. 

I felt bad for the receptionist who was dealing with a hysterical woman, complaining about black mold, she was very nice and patient despite this person’s attitude

Location and room were great, the hotel was easy to find and the staff were very helpful. Being able to store luggage after check out was brilliant and made the rest of my journey so much easier!

Bathroom water ran brown on initial use which was disconcerting but the facilities were appropriate otherwise. There was no safe in the room which was never promised but would be a nice touch.

Was close to downtown and transit. Stores and breakfast nearby. Was fairly clean.

The rooms were small compared to Canadian hotels but all a person needs is a bed and bathroom right. Didn’t have a bottom sheet on the bed the first night but they corrected that without telling them for the second and third night without me telling them. May have been new staff.

Location for the price was unbeatable. Very walkable (city, Chinatown, cable car stop, subway, bus stops, restaurants). Windows that opened in bathroom.

Small rooms, but given the location that's understandable. Lift was small and a bit scary but there are stairs next to it. Was very hard to find due to poor signage.

We liked the location and the surroundings.

Noisy neighbors, parking was a little confusing at first, but the staff did explain upon arrival. The room we stayed in did have a working fridge (not cold), they could have provided two water bottles because guests had to get water a Block away from 7-11.

Staff were very helpful for places to go and anything we required

Unfortunately one of the cleaners was sick and I believe hospitalised so our room was not serviced daily but that was okay as I could pick up coffee etc at reception
