The property itself is lovely. Its close to Union Square and only a few blocks from Powell Street station making it easy to get to and from. The building is clean and feels safe and secure. The building is quiet and offers laundry and kitchen facilities on sight. I included some pictures of the kitchen/ common areas.

Ok...my biggest issue is that I stayed at this property for 18 days. I ran out of toilet tissue as well as body wash after day 9. When I contacted Kasa, I was informed that I would have to purchase these products myself. It's not the cost that annoyed me, it's the fact that they didn't provide enough for my length of stay. I get that they didn't want to come in to the room because of the pandemic, but couldn't it have been left outside of the door? It just seems with what I paid for my stay, they could have tossed in some more toilet tissue and body wash.

the location is in proximity to a "not so good" neighbourhood for the presence of homeless and (sometimes) gergale. Actually, this is a problem of a lot of downtown hotels... Kasa is in a relative safety place up to my stay but it seams a situation in development so I cannot rate the location with certainties. I feel safe as a couple, maybe a solo female traveller or families may find themselves in uncomfortable situations

We loved the simple check-in. We requested an early check-in which they made possible and we got all important codes and information at the right time. Location was perfect and our room was very spacious. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable I had ever slept in when it comes to hotel stays.

The room’s view was not perfect, but okay. All in all, there was not much to complain about except that we lost electricity a couple of times after using the hair dryer. In that case, the virtual frint desk provided us with instructions to fix that. Worked perfectly well. As this example shows, you have to be aware that this is not the classic hotel experience but more like an Airbnb.

Beautiful, historical building. Rooms were neat, window facing other historical buildings downtown. The kitchen area fully equipped. Common space was perfect for long working days.

One morning a homeless person was sleeping on a dormat which was blocking the entrance to the building. Another day a homeless person entered the hotel and stayed in the kitchen area for multiple hours. Also, as mentioned in the advert, the wall are pretty tight.

Nicely decorated room. Large room in the basement with lounge, tables, tv, kitchen. Not too much noise coming from the street (in the back rooms). Effective hairdryer. Building and room access with a code, no need to carry a card.

The window could not be completely closed, so cold air and noise were coming in. No control on the central heater; it was quite cold in the room one night. However, there is a small portable heater in the wardrobe that I was able to use. 2/4 evening without hot water in the shower. There is quite a gap under the door, so you hear everything going on the floor (fortunately for me, there was not many people).

The bedroom was very comfortable and a great space to wind down after a long day of traveling. Parking is hard but Spot Hero an app suggested by Kasa La Monarca was helpful in finding areas to park etc. the location was close to various food places and Oracle Park. The old time elevator was neat as well!

The two things I didn’t like was that the bathroom (specifically the sink) was quite small and at an awkward angle but nonetheless it was a good bathroom, and the second was that the walls are a little thinner than I’d like them. we could hear people coming up the stairs and next door.

Excellent location, easy check-in, very good communication with details of check-in.

We asked for an early check-in to be allowed to start our reservation two hours earlier. We were told we would be informed of the early check-in availability exactly when we requested an early check-in. Because it takes us about an hour to get to the hotel from where we are, we could not take advantage of the check-in.

The location was great, check in was easy, instructions posted were easy to follow and reply’s to any questions were prompt.

I asked them to add my husbands number and take mine away for communication as I would not be using my local number overseas, after two confirmations, I was getting messages on my number for everything.

It was in a good location, the bedroom/bathroom was very good, No complaints about the hotel facilitues

would have preferred a receptionist, virtual is ok but not the same, we arrived too early, eventually made phone contact, and Sydney arrived to help us, she was excellent! The entrance is a bit off-putting but once established worked well but would prefer to have a contact person on hand- as elderly travellers think that its nor what we are used to, but great for younger guests- interesting!!
