The room itself was very spacious and the bed was very soft and comfortable to sleep in. Ample amount of pillows as well. All other dining spaces were lovely and the decor was very strong throughout the hotel (including the elevator) - made me forget I was in San Francisco
With the room being larger, it was drafty and sometimes very cold; the heater did not work as well. Also we had to trouble shoot the TV as it was not working when we arrived.

From a tourist’s perspective, the location was very convenient, providing easy access to public transportation. There were plenty of stores and restaurants close by. The staff was ever smiling and helpful. The hotel organised a wine and cheese evening daily and hot coffee and bottled water was available 24/7, on the house. Breakfast was included.
The room size was small. There wasn’t much space to move around after placing our 2 large suitcases.

The evening wine and cheese and the breakfast were excellent. The place was wonderful.
I don't like being scammed. The room was $153.00, and there was a resort fee of $24.00 per night. So, in reality, the room costs $176.00 a night plus tax. I've stayed here many times over the years, and the services were exactly the same as before the resort fee. My reservation was paid for in advance through Booking.com, but they added $100 to my credit card to be sure that I didn't steal anything. The management is confused about who is the thief.

This was a great hotel to stay in. We loved it! Gorgeous room with wallpaper and fireplace and the staff were very attentive. Coffee, tea and cold drinks was available 24 hours. A continental breakfast was served 2 doors up in their sister hotel, White Swan. There was lots to eat. The hotel was in Union Square surrounded by bars and restaurants so no need to go anywhere else for dinner.
The only, only drawback ( and it’s absolutely no reflection on the hotel or staff) was a very inconsiderate person who sat on the steps right outside the front door and smoked. He was told of course not to, but fell on deaf ears 😢

The location is excellent, right in the city and close to restaurants and sights. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they accommodate your needs well. The hotel is very cute and cozy and has B&B vibes. Great for solo travelers because you will meet other people at breakfast and during the wine and nibbles hour.
It can be quite cold in the room and you can hear people walking above your room due to building being old and having poor insulation. So if you are a light sleeper probably not a place for you. Or at least request a room on the top floor so no one is above you! There is also a gap below the door so a breeze comes into the room from the hallway. If you get cold easily I would suggest booking a room with a fireplace to help you keep warm. The beds are super soft so if you don't like soft beds, this is not a place for you.

We love love LOVED our stay here! The bed was so comfy we ended up napping almost every day, the fireplace was cozy beyond belief, the location is PERFECT (close to Chinatown and SF MOMA, away from the sketchy areas), and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Free water was incredibly nice to have, and the breakfast was delicious. Also, the evening snacks were tasty and a fun atmosphere! We wish we could just move in and live here forever :)

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Petite Auberge on Bush Street, and I was absolutely delighted with my experience. From the moment I checked in, I felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. A special shout-out to Christy at the front desk. Her genuine customer service and attention to detail were exceptional. She remembered me the next day and asked about my dinner, recalling specific details from our conversation. It was a refreshing change to experience such personalized care. I also wanted to recognize Leon for taking the time to ask about my stay and offer some recommendations. He shared his knowledge of the street and neighborhood. The room itself was charming and comfortable, and I appreciated the convenience of having cold and sparkling water available at all hours. The included breakfast was a delightful surprise, and the pastry of the day was a particular highlight. Each morning, I enjoyed my breakfast in front of the fireplace, which was a lovely way to start the day before exploring Union Square, the Wharf, and other nearby attractions. I highly recommend the Petite Auberge to anyone visiting San Francisco. It's a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and exceptional customer service.

Super positive experience: central location, cosy room, quality products in the bathroom ( the hair dryer is provided even if it's not written on the amenities 'list), good breakfast ( mainly sweet: porridge, pastries, some fruits - oranges/ apples/bananas-, sandwich bread with butter and strawberry or apricot jam, boiled eggs, orange juice/ milk, vanilla and strawberry yogurt). A selection of teas/ herbal teas/ coffee and hot chocolate is available all day long as well bottled water, which is really very much appreciated! In the afternoon (5-6.30 pm) you can have a glass of wine with nibbles. The staff is very kind.
The mattress was quite soft ( it's a very personal preference) The garbage collection at 4 am woke us up every night but it's not the hotel's fault!

I love Petite Auberge. This is a homey hotel. It is a bit old: walls are coverd with tiny flower wallpaper, old wooden furnitures etc reminding an clasical old european hotel but I found it part of its charm. We had a huge room with a sofa and an armchair in front of the fireplace. The bed was soft and comfortable. The friendly reception staff was very helpful. Every day at 05:00 pm Wine of your choice, cheese and crackers are served free. It is a nice idea and a great aportunity to meet people from all over the world. Breakfast was just enough for me. Fruits, granolla, yogurt, bioled eggs, bread, patiseries, coffee, tea and orange juice.. 24/7 free coffee, tea, watter and soda. The location is great. For 3 days we walked everywhere.
The acoustics is not so good meaning You hear the neighbors next door and those from upstairs.

The staff was outstanding. They were always very curious and helpful. They offered to carry our luggage into and out of the hotel. The young lady (Sam) did my plane booking (printed our boarding tickets) and made taxi reservations for us. The staff at the breakfast room were extremely friendly, hard working and also offered to help us when needed. The cleaning lady did an excellent job.
The continental breakfast was good. But I would have loved to have eggs, either scrambled or boiled. Perhaps some breakfast meat, like sausages or bacon would have been nice.
