The rooms were clean and comfortable. The customer service lady at check in was not very friendly but the lady when we checked out was very pleasant.

It was absolutely ridiculous that we had to pay $35 additional per room for early check in. We came from out of town and arrived an hour early and were told rooms were ready but if we wanted to check in early we had to pay additional $35, because everyone was tired from the drive I paid it. We wont stay here again because of this!

Wonderful welcome, and it was OK to park our car even though we arrived a couple of hours before check in, which we really appreciated. The room was comfortable and we had a view of the beach and the sea. The Inn is in a great spot for visiting the pier (there was a free love music event the night we got there, it was fabulous), and for the coastal path along West Cliff Drive. Would definitely stay again.

There was a slight smell of drains, but that may have been from behind the hotel in the adjacent lot - we only noticed it when we had the bathroom window open. It wasn't a major issue.

Extremely helpful staff. Close to the boardwalk walking distance to everything we wanted to do. Property allowed us to park the day we arrived and the day we left. Beds were quite comfortable.

Expensive for what we received. Larger king room upstairs took quite a while to cool down although the first floor room was cold in minutes.

loved this place and it’s vibe. room is small but perfect for the amount of time you’re actually in it. the view from the 2nd floor of the boardwalk is nice and the staff was phenomenal. very close to everything we wanted to see and do.

uphill after a long day is brutal and I would suggest having more options for snacks in the lobby as restaurants in the immediate area close earlier than expected.

We booked an Oceanview room and the view didn't disappoint! After we ended our day we sat on the lounge chairs and enjoyed the view! Perfect location to walk to Boardwalk, Wharf or to take a stroll along the coast!

Only complaint is the bed was uncomfortable. Woke up with a sore back, a pillow top mattress would be great!

It could be cleaner. They texted me back saying I left an item in the room. I called, and they couldn’t say what it was. I ended up going back to find out they were actually saying a pillow was missing from the room. Seriously??? That is after they charged my card 3 stays, and I stayed one night. But it Santa Cruz, good vibes only. All good!!!!

The receptionists were fantastic! The view from the balcony was awe inspiring!!! I really loved this location..you could see the ocean and the boardwalk!!! i was really happy about my stay

The heater in the room and the fan in the bathroom were very noisy!

We loved the location and that everything was very clean. We enjoyed that it was a quiet space to rest from a busy day. Also, how accommodating the staff were. Multiple times they made us feel as if we were being taken care of by close friends. During these hard times we truly appreciated that!

It would have been nice to have continental breakfast items like announced on voice-mail but not too big of a deal. :)

The location was SUPERB, especially if you can tolerate walking a little. So very close to the wharf and boardwalk. This, however, rated second to the customer service we were given. In a time where we have found customer service has become more of an inconvenience for the people who are actually going to work in businesses that are actually still open, the genuine care and pride in their position was evident. If we could rate the service any higher, we would. Lovely people here, truly. Keep it up all, it is so very appreciated!!! The affordability is also a HUGE bonus and major draw.

Some of the electrical outlets weren't working. The sink didn't drain very well and the rooms were notably outdated. The extra pull out bed wasn't very comfortable at all, you could feel every bar underneath the mattress. All that being said, these small issues definitely did NOT put a damper on the enjoyment of our trip.

Location, cleanliness, comfort.

Size, overpriced.
