I had seen a bunch of reviews before booking the stay - I am glad that I went anyways - the place is under repair, so it is upgrading all the time. The room, bed, shower, supplies was all fine. What a beautiful sunset - close to the beach, even though it's closed at this time, had to go pass the pier to get to the beach. No trouble getting around, found a great restaurant and a super laundromat near by. Spent 6 nights, so I got a good chance to see the place in operation, 101 is very close and kind of loud, but did not bother my wife or myself, We slept fine. My wife, who works from home, brought her work on the trip and was able to work at the pool. Very nice.

The breakfast was lacking in extras, but had enough food to make people happy. This is a side comment. I spent a number of years selling commercial pest control, so I know what I am talking about. Whoever is doing the service, don't know what they are doing. The bait stations are way over done, not placed in the right spots, and don;t present the cleanest places, Oh! this place has rats, not good to see. I would have sold them bait stations that look like stones, Fit in landscaping without people suspecting anything. They look like part of the landscaping.

The beds were super cozy, not too loud inside the room, as your right off of the freeway. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in this area. Beautiful grounds that had many Places to take great pictures of the ocean and just the surroundings of the hotel.. It is decorated so cute.. The the front desk attendance were absolutely wonderful. To work with. Responses to any request made. We're done Very quickly. Couldn't Have picked a better place so close to the beach and so nice. Definitely going back there anytime, I'm in The area.

The only thing I did not like was the bathroom was not entirely clean, it had nasty spots on it Upon arrival. Then on day to we had five pretty big black spiders in the bathroom, and a few in the room next to the beds.. They never did bother us. It was just creepy that they were there.. Other than that, absolutely no compliance. This is a wonderful choice for a motel in the area.

Cleanest hotel room ever. I was amazed at how well-dusted the room was. The cottages are spacious and cozy. Loved the fireplaces and the small kitchen. Very close to the ocean and has gorgeous views. Please note the highway separates the property from the beach, but it is within walking distance. If you are looking for a hotel that is unique, charming, and has history, then this property is for you.

The covers for the air conditioning units should be washed, as could the heater. We didn't have any shampoo in the shower but we brought our own. Dish soap for the kitchen sink would have been a nice touch. Looking forward to when the restaurant is open. Breakfast was okay. I appreciated that they provided breakfast while the restaurant is under construction.

To be honest, this hotel surprised us! We were expecting a good hotel for the price but the stay was AMAZING. Even though part of the facilities are under renovation, the room was spacey and REALLY comfortable. The beds were... amazingly good because they were very soft and at the same time so supportive. The room was very spacious and the wifi was super fast and reliable. The team was very helpful with the check-in process, they even treated us to a complimentary early check-in.

The only hiccup was that one of the windows of the room didn't close perfectly tight and that caused a bit of cold air to filter into the room, but the heating system was working perfectly.

I loved the location to the beach and pier; super comfortable beds & pillows; very clean rooms; the balcony was a nice size and perfect for my Labrador retriever - she had fun watching the kids swim as our room overlooked the pool area; housekeeping was attentive and brought extra towels and a top sheet within minutes of asking; pet friendly; delicious breakfast; grounds were clean and beautifully kept! Can't wait for the restaurant to re-open!!

The bathrooms definitely need an upgrade; the sink area is too small; there's no space to put your blow dryer or toiletry items - a small cabinet should be added to the bathroom wall; or more shelving above the toilet; the bathroom entry or bedroom entry should have a full length mirror. The only mirror in our room was the small mirror above the sink. I'd still go back even without a bathroom upgrade because we enjoyed ourselves so much but these items should be mentioned.

It was nice comfortable but I was really hoping for a balcony which I didn't get, it was clean and the staff was nice, Michael was very nice guy, very helpful. The listing said there is water in the rooms (there was not) And when I called up front, they told me I could purchase from them, No Thanks cheaper at the store. I called a week before they told me there are keurig coffee makers in the rooms so I brought a few from home but disappointed that there was not, it was only a standard cheapy coffeemaker so someone lied to me. It was ok for the price not bad but not the best and because of the construction going on We had to walk a far distance to go get breakfast which my dad was in a wheelchair not fun, but it was free so a big plus, but missed out on alot because we went almost when it was over like 9:40 am not much left. If you go Make sure you get breakfast early, I'm not an early bird lol. I give it 2 thumbs up it's not bad but not the greatest not much to see there. The beach access is way farther then 500 ft which it claims is more like a block and a half cause you have to go all the way Around the parking lot, then down the street 1 block the cross the street there is the beach access. Listing stated water bottles in the rooms there were not, ( Only for a charge) Beach access father then it claims not 500 ft more like a block & half ) No balcony rooms for 3 or more people which we were 3, No Keurig coffee makers in rooms which someone at the front desk told me there are when I called a week in advance so they lied to me. OVERALL I give it 7 stars Out of 10

Staff was very friendly, excellent room and very clean. Loved the complimentary breakfast. Plenty of selections to choose from. The entire Inn is over 100 years old and the grounds are well-kept and absolutely beautiful.

When I booked online, I chose the "ground floor". I did not realize that the ground floor (1st floor) to this hotel was literally downstairs. This should probably be adjusted. If we had been traveling with older family members and had chosen the ground floor, we would've been pretty upset. Especially since there is not an elevator. I booked ground floor specifically to avoid stairs.

We had a nice room with a private patio. We sat on the patio and had our coffee and breakfast. The room service was very good. The grounds are beautiful and maintained very nice.

The room was nice and we had a great view. The stairs are hard on the knees.

Pierpont Inn is a comfortable, clean hotel. The grounds are nice and it is a close, walking distance to the beach. It's a nice bike trail walk down to the pier and boardwalk. Close walk to downtown Ventura too, with many restaurants and shops.

The breakfast was not good, although the boxed cereal, English muffins and toast were ok. Next to a busy highway, but if you had windows closed it wasn't too loud.

We loved that our King Suite had it's own separate living room and dining area. Both the living room/dining area and bedroom had a view of the Ocean (along with a TV in each one). I definitely would book the suite again!

The room that I booked through this website DIDN'T MATCH what was online but, I called the hotel directly and they were able to fix that for me :) I wish the check in time was a bit sooner but, 4 pm isn't too bad. Unfortunately, the complimentary breakfast wasn't available during our stay and the hotel restaurant was closed.
