This little inn will transport you back to the 60's/70's. The older hotel with efficiency suites is cozy and true to the beach vibe. It is darker at night but that is because of the sea turtle nests along the beach near the hotel. If you just want a quiet charming place to relax this is a MUST!

We woke up with itchy bites, but I’m not certain if it happened there or earlier. Rooms are quite small.

Justin, the office manager, was very helpful and friendly upon check-in and out! The room was a perfect fit for our family! Equipped with its own kitchen was great for home cooked meals (and saving money). It was a very short walk to the beach with its private walkway. They offer beach equipment such as chairs, umbrella boogie boards, etc free to use by the guest. They also offered a grilling/smoker section! Along with some corn holes to play with. We definitely took advantage and had a great Birthday dinner outside with a wonderful sunset view of the beach! Again, much cheaper than going to any restaurant! I could go on and on about how wonderful this stay was. We are ready to book again and are already planning our next visit! You will not regret staying here!

This building was built in the 1950s, so rooms were a little outdated. It was still comfy and cozy.

The location right on the beach is amazing and very close to town. We were kinda scared when we pulled up but when we went in the room everything changed. It is old and not fancy (so if you are bougie this place is not for you) but the room was clean and comfortable for 2 people. The staff was very nice, they let us check in a couple of hours early and let us check out 1 hour late. They have beach stuff to use and the grounds are kept clean and grass nice and green. The hammock was awesome. Having a kitchen is super convenient. Bed was comfortable and AC nice and cold. We enjoyed our stay.

The building is in need of TLC. It does not look like the pictures anymore. The deck needs painting and so do the wooden beach chairs.

Lovely quiet location a short walk from the beach. Reception was very helpful and made us aware of a rocket launch the next day that we would otherwise have missed (it was pretty special!). Lovely big room - I'd call it shabby chiq - it is dated but all part of its charm. Good sized kitchenette. And a cupboard full of beach stuff was a nice touch - we did a bit of body boarding. Beach is nice - lots of shells and we sat and watched crabs digging holes.

A little pricier than other rooms we stayed in but probably worth it for thelocation. But watch out for the rip tides.

Nice outdoor areas - deck sheltered by dunes, pavilion with grills, outdoor chairs and hammock. Staff pleasant and really appreciate a dog-friendly hotel. Plus, the South Beach Inn has a nice, funky, retro beach feel. The rooms were very clean and the location is great - at the quiet end of town, with ready access to a beautiful beach that is dog-friendly for several hours in the morning and in the evening.

Facility does need some repairs. One window panel was replaced with plywood and several had missing screens - not a big issue in winter, but in warmer weather not being able to open the windows or to have them open without screens to keep the bugs out would be unfortunate. Could use more kitchen utensils (teakettle, bigger knives).

cozy. soft grass is the only thing keeping you from the ocean, you can spend the whole week without shoes. it’s amazing. I was scared from some ignorant reviews I saw on here, but I promise it’s a older building but it has so much character and is so relaxing. if you are gonna worry about paint chips on a wall or silly stuff, it’s probably not for you. if you want an amazing deal for paradise, this is your spot. i was too busy enjoying it to nitpick. as a matter of fact, we loved it so much we are moving to the space coast next month.

The parking is slim on the weekend but it’s very manageable and worth it.
