Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta-Downtown

Staff was very friendly, courteous and informative. Definitely knew we were in Atlanta (Southern hospitality!) Room was neat and clean with a contemporary decor. Bathroom was very neat and clean with modern, updated facilities. Great water pressure. Breakfast was pretty good. If we'd gotten up earlier, I'm sure it would have been very good. Staff did a very good job of keeping warm items (eggs and bacon/sausage) well stocked, and did an excellent job of keeping dining area clean and free of clutter. Especially in light of a Labor Day full capacity crowd! Also, Great location. Short walk to many ATL attractions and restaurants.

Honestly cannot think of a single thing to complain about during out stay. Which is highly unusual, as I'm a bit of a grouch during most outings.

Receptionists weren’t up to date on the pet policy. I was reassured multiple times that I could stay with my Emotional Support Dogs. That my ESA letter would exempt me from paying additional fees. I did my due diligence & even emailed the hotel both of my ESA letters. (I also called before booking to make sure it was ok) Once we had check out of the hotel and got an email receipt did I see I was charged a $75 pet fee. After speaking with the manager he was able to refund me the pet fee as a 1 time courtesy. He was very nice and professional about it as well which allowed to keep the experience a good one.

Breakfast & parking were included; Housekeeping only came if they were called; It was within walking distance to a lot of food/activities options.

When we arrived, there was a dirty baby diaper in the trashcan and 1 washcloth was on the bathroom counter, along with the little soap having been opened - as if someone washed/dried their hands. Everything else was clean, though. I'm not sure why those few things were out of place, but it looked like someone had our room, then didn't? 🤔 very weird.

The staff were all very welcoming. Breakfast was tasty. The location was perfect and in walking distance from good restaurants, attractions, and the State Farm Arena...we were in town for a basketball game.

There was one window that had a malfunctioning blackout window shade, so we couldn't completely close the shade. The room was not completely dark, which I need to get my best sleep.

We had nice rooms, nicely furnished, good views. Staff was always really nice. closed to the Olympic park, world of coke museum and aquarium.

some homeless people walking around but its in downtown so to be expected I guess. Parking lot is very small for such a big building. One night we had to park in a lot behind the building which was a walk across a street and parking lot before getting to the hotel which seemed a little unsafe at the house it was.

The hotel was clean and felt very safe. I loved the gated parking lot with plenty of space. The staff was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast very much.

The hotel is very close to the venues and was walkable which is great, but to no fault of their own, it did not feel safe to do so after dark.

I cannot say enough about the staff. They could not have been nicer and more helpful - especially considering the issues and crowded conditions they were dealing with. The hotel was super clean, and it was good to see the staff asking people to be sure and wear their masks. As well, the breakfast was great!

The hotel was having problems with the key system on arrival, and the air conditioning wasn't working well through the weekend. Given the 90+ degree temps, it was never quite comfortable, but the fan gave us enough to make it tolerable.

The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with lovely decor and an excellent shower. Staff were very helpful and polite and there was a really great selection for breakfast in he morning.

The people in one of the neighbouring rooms were very noisy late at night which meant I didn't sleep well. I was also overcharged for the room and didn't notice this until I returned home and checked my credit card statement. I am still waiting for the hotel to refund the difference.

Jonnie is amazing first of all. I got checked in early. I told him I was in town for the Beyoncé concert and my room was 711 my favorite song lol. The room was nice and everything I expected. The staff was very friendly. I will stay here every time I come back to Atlanta

The fact that I had to go back home

They have one of the best customer service I’ve experienced. We had some issues with our room, but they immediately changed us to another room when we let them know. They suggested places to eat and answered all our questions. The room and the hotel was nice and clean, nothing super fancy but really good for the price. Gym was open 24/7. I would definitely stay here again.

Due to Covid, the breakfast is a grab and go bag with a muffin, granola and a cup of fruit. It is ok and to be fair not the hotel’s fault, that’s how most hotels are handling breakfast due to the pandemic.
