We came from out of town on a spur of the moment trip. Husband had not booked any place to stay and your website came up first with the best pricing. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and how friendly and helpful the staff were. We were unaware of the attached restaurant but had already selected a nearby spot for a bite to eat. We did have an appetizer in the restaurant when we went down for drinks which we really enjoyed. We were a bit saddened to see the deliciousness on the menu after we had come back from dinner. We will definitely be coming back to enjoy the menu!

We had a little difficulty operating the fan/heater in our room and so our room was a bit too hot to sleep comfortably. We were told there would be a $35 voucher in our room also, which we were unable to find. We were credited with the voucher, however, when we went down to the bar for drinks and an appetizer.

It really impressed me to get a $35 credit for dinner or brunch the next morning. I got brunch, and it was phenomenal. Great atmosphere. I've already recommended this place to my family when they decide to come visit me. I grew up in a historical home somewhat similar to this, so if you have too, you will feel right at home.

I didn't really like was how noisy it was until around 11pm or so. You can hear every little creak, bang or voice. This is a personal issue though, as you should expect this from this sort of building style. Especially with the restaurant downstairs, and on a Friday night (when I stayed). Don't expect peace and quiet for your whole stay, imagine it like having a big home, a big family, and it's Christmas Eve. Also, I tried watching Netflix on my laptop so I could use my headphones, but the Wi-Fi must not have been strong enough because nothing would play. They had all the streaming services on the tv though, so I didn't miss out. Just had to turn the TV up a little bit to drown out any outside noise.

Historic inn in quiet neighborhood. The owner contacted us on the road offering a free upgrade to a suite with a deck and windows opening onto pretty trees. The room was well-appointed with thoughtful provisions for breakfast since we stayed as the restaurant downstairs was closed (which meant our stay was very quiet). Super location - a easy walk to the city park on the water, restaurants & more. Excellent breakfast and more at the hoagie shop on the corner!

The property was charming and immaculate. I loved that there was so much history as the house is over 100 years old. We stayed in room one. It’s spacious with a balcony. The restaurant downstairs was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely return. Its also just a short walk into a beautiful town.

We randomly stopped by Coeur d'Alene on our crossing-country road trip and stayed in the Greenbriar Inn. It turned out to be a wonderful experience. The location was perfect with lots of restaurants nearby. The Inn itself was a historical building with vintage setting inside which we admired. Although the room was on small side, it had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast served in their partner restaurant, named"Rustic", was so delicious, it probably was the best breakfast we have had on our entire journey.

First, it’s old. it’s charming. we were on the third floor and there is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags up the stairs. The room we stayed in was clean, roomy and charmingly decorated if you like old fashioned, comfortably worn, cozy furniture. The TV was difficult for us to find channels. Very different than anything we’ve encountered. But the included breakfast was delicious. we ate tapas for dinner one night and sat on the patio in the lovely shaded yard and it was delightful. and parking on the street was easy. Never had any trouble finding a good spot. The staff was helpful and friendly. overall it was a good stay and would recommend it to people who can do stairs, and like vintage charm.

window needed to be repaired. we reported the problem and trust it will be fixed.

Loved the location of the Inn and the friendly staff. Could walk everywhere downtown and to the Lake without a problem. We ate at the Restaurant Sunday evening and it was fabulous food!

Room and bathroom were really, really small. Also, we stayed on a Sunday and Monday and learned that Monday and Tuesday, the restaurant was closed and we were given vouchers to have breakfast at a restaurant 4 blocks from the Inn. There were no hangers in the closet - that should have been checked when the room was cleaned before we arrived. They did find some to give us but it was inconvenient.....

Everyone associated with the inn & restaurant was polite & solicitous. Even the young woman who served breakfast & was new to the job went the extra mile.

It looks like the owners up upgrading the place in various ways--should be even nicer next time we visit. Our room was quite small, whihc was okay, but we may opt for a larger room there next time unless there are no other vacancies.

The breakfast at Rustic was awesome! The meal we had at Greenbrier was fantastic. They have a terrific chef!! Nice bar too!! Room 5 was spacious & had real charm! Shower was good & bed comfy! All staff was friendly & welcoming!! Greenbrier was close to town & we enjoyed walking around, seeing the beautiful parks & driving around the scenic & beautiful Lake Cour d’alene!!

Told ‘em they needed to spiff up entry & he said it is already scheduled!! The house & porch & outside tables are so nice!!

Staff was amazing and attentive. The in house restaurant was beyond amazing. And, if you're looking for somewhere to say that has that old time, historical class & character, it's Greenbriar Inn. If you want modern, boring, sterile cookie cutter accommodations, stay somewhere else. Yes, modern accommodations are nice and all. But character makes a memory that lasts, a memory that's unique.

I don't know if I have an answer for this section. An older building is not as soundproof. So if you are a light sleeper, during a more, night time active holiday, you might have some issues. But I've got no complaints.
