Baymont by Wyndham Marion

This was our 2nd & 3rd visit. We made these arrangements because of the exceptional service, experience, hospitality and value of this property. We will continue to make arrangements here whenever we are traveling through.

As we stated in our previous review, the only downside was the location of the only elevator & the location of our room. This was more my fault, since I didn’t request a room closer to the elevator. I have a heart condition and I’m unable to walk long distances without difficulty. I know if I had requested a closer room, the staff would have accommodated our request.

Everything was and and clean check in and out was easy good location breakfast was more than expected personel wer very friendly and helpful

the only thing that was not good was the floor in the bathroom , turned on the shower and stepped back out inti the the bathroom and slid across the floor . it was very slick I had noticed the pallets of flooring in the parking lot so I know that they were aware of the problem and the desk attendant when I said something to her confirmed that they were working on the floors . only thing i thought of is some tread strips for a quick fix while waiting to replace the floors . I almost slipped and fell because of it . just a thought

The location was good for our purposes—easy to get to and close to restaurants and the interstate. It was clean and the staff were very helpful. The beds were very comfortable! The room was just what we needed—we were not disappointed! The halls were clean, the facility didn’t smell funny, and the carpet wasn’t worn.

The only thing that was sub-par was the breakfast. If you were on a low-carb diet, you were out of luck. But we didn’t stay there for the breakfast — what we needed was a clean, comfortable, affordable room. Exactly what we got!

Front desk and checking in was fast and very friendly. My king room was very spacious, properly stocked and very clean. Pristine white linens, clean mirrors and chrome fixtures. The glass shower door was nearly spotless. Clean coffee maker and even the hair dryer was free from hair. I was so impressed I cleaned up after myself!

Breakfast selection was just ok. I know that Covid has influenced the breakfast at most places, but it may be time to look into hiring some breakfast personnel to make some hot food and serve it. I would be happy with a pre-made egg, sausage sandwich that I could reheat.

The location was near everything we came for. Allowed us to check in early after a long 10 hour drive there. Had breakfast and a pool.

Jacuzzi tub wasn't the cleanest and the plug for the drain didn't work. There was something smeared on our wall but we just ignored that. The pool was nice but our last day there was a party in the pool and they trashed to pool area. Used and left all the pool towels everywhere and were even using the safety equipment as toys and left them laying around the pool area. My family actually ended up cleaning up their mess and replacing the safety equipment before we let our children swim.

Great location with restaurants in walking distance. The front desk staff were very friendly. The room was nice and clean. Large room with sitting area. It had a counter area outside the bathroom with a sink and coffee maker. The microwave and fridge were in the TV cabinet.

You could hear the people above us walking around their room. You could hear the conversations of people as they walked by in the hallway. However, it did not ruin the stay - just a bit of annoyance when it was occurring.

Staff, most of facilities were satisfactory.

The bathtub was decades old, being extremely worn and coming apart. The key cards are the touchiest ever. I’ve never had to get them rescanned during a stay, but had to do this 3 times in a day and a half stay. Really didn’t like that we were called to have our original reservation the day before the stay began, since we were coming for a wedding and had reserved the room several weeks ago. They were able to find another room after complaining.

clean. smelled pleasant. great bedding. waffles & coffee. wall unit ac w/fan noise for my sleeping pleasure. frig w/small freezer. very nice staff. observed that my knee was hurting & I was having trouble getting up & down the stairs & offered to move me down stairs. easy, close parking. I thought that all negative reviews were uncalled for.

Great location with easy access to food, gas, and I-57

My only “complaint” was the room smelled like the previous occupant may have smoked, despite being a non-smoking room. It was not enough to report or complain to management, and it is possible it was a combination of cleaning chemicals and being closed up. it dissipated and my stay was fine.

always clean and comfortable. I have trouble walking and was grateful for the first floor room. Service was excellent as usual. Very clean and comfortable room. We will always stay here on our way up to Chicago. Thanks to management and staff for making our stay pleasurable.

I was so happy to have had a room on the first floor. Usually placed on second floor in opposite wing from the elevator. It made it difficult to get to the room. Thank you for the change.
