Best Western Marion Hotel

My stay was better than most hotel/motels I have stayed in. I liked the fact that the ac/heater was quiet. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Best Western has been around for a long time and the motels are making many changes to the hotel and building, including making the customers feel welcome. I appreciated the full breakfast each morning. There were plenty of places to eat near by. If you are traveling a long way from Florida to Chicago this hotel would be my pick. I will be staying there often since I have family near by. Thank you.

The building was close to the interstate, but the noise from the traffic wasn't to bad. If you stay ask for the third floor on the west side. That will help with the noise from the interstate.

We had previously stayed at a different local motel but found this one to be much better! We immediately noticed the quiet at night and the cleanliness of the room. We had encountered rude staff at the other one but we immediately felt comfortable when "Sandy" who checked us in was joking and laughing with us. The first room we were given had a broken bottom on the toilet. I was impressed when a maintenance man was by the desk and offered to immediately come check it! They did need to give us another room which happened right away with no issues. Oh and breakfast is fantastic! Great motel!

The only things we found as an issue was no rubber mat on the floor in the tub for when showers are taken or at least available. We struggled the first time taking showers due to safety so could not do it again. Also, the toilet was too low for older people to get off of and there was no safety rail. We do not use a handicapped room as most come with only one bed and it would make it difficult.

The beds had new mattresses. The room was very clean. The breakfast had a selection of hot and cold items. Plenty to choose from. I liked the staff and the assistance to any question or concern that I might have. They were also helpful with directions to local restaurants and shopping. This location is not far from Southern University and about 50 miles from Paducah Ky if you cannot find a place close during the Quilt Shows. If you stay here ask to be on the second or third floor facing West. It is mush quieter. Also they have an indoor pool for the kiddos and a hot tub for adults.

No fault of the hotel, but there is road construction going on. The exit ramp to go South on HWY 57 is closed. You must go out of the motel and take a right. Follow this road until you get the the main st in Marion. Take another right and then turn right on to 57 South to Ciro. This was in April 2023. They may have the exit open soon.

We were staying for our annual crab orchard youth hunt. This was the first time staying here. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast would start at 4am during those days. We very much appreciate the accommodation and wanted to thank staff and management for that decision! I was also impressed by the cleanliness. Before I bring my bags to a room I check it. Spots like behind the beds were even clean! Lastly, but not least, the operating hot tub was amazing after being out in freezing temps all day. We will definitely try booking here again next year! Thank you!

The gym had a very nice treadmill and weight station that I used twice during our stay, but the elliptical and bike were very run down and old.

pretty nice hotel overall. the staff was so kind. the breakfast is delicious. I’m glad there was a pool also. the room was clean.

the beds are not comfortable at all :( and the mini fridge didn’t really work. and the tv was kinda small. and there was hardly any towels. they do not provide towels for the pool, I asked for more but they didn’t have any.

It was quiet and centrally located for my purpose of being in town.

Trash outside was laying on the ground every day and the cleaning ladies were constantly smoking outside. Even saw one smoking in one of the rooms while she was cleaning it when I walked by.

Pool and great hot tub, the outside patio right off the pool area to sit and talk or sun bathe

The patio off the pool area could use a few more lounge chairs and some umbrellas tables. It also needs to be swept clean daily as there is debris from the flower beds

Nice breakfast with good choices. Room met needs. Upgraded room when we upon arrival and staff worked with us easily to do this. Bed comfortable. Easy access to family in area.

Breafast sausages should have been browned to taste good. Recliner chair should be replaced no longer comfortable.

My family and I stay here everytime we come to Marion. We will not stay anywhere else. The Staff are extremely accommodating, and housekeeping is SUPERB!!! The rates are affordable, and breakfast is a true added bonus. Thank you so much for keeping us comfortable during our stay. You all should be proud of yourselves.

The convenience is great just off the highway and 15 mins to SIU.

The fact the a pubic hair was found in the area of the sink. And there was a part from the bed rail sticking out that could possibly do damage to a guest.
