Gary is an exceptional host. He’s gave us a tour of his beautiful home when we got there. He’d baked at least 4 kinds of delectable cookies, had sodas and waters for us as well as other treats. The house is amazing! The woodwork and the furniture are ornate; they reminded us of our grandparents’ homes. Gary’s attention to detail is formidable. The house is well appointed with comfortable beds , sumptuous towels and toiletries as well as souvenirs of Gary’s travels around the world. Our room had a fireplace and a jacuzzi that we wished we had more time to enjoy. There’s an enormous collection of movies, music and games. There is also a grand piano in the parlor. Our dog was welcomed as well. The breakfast was delicious with multiple selections; there is something for everyone. The neighborhood is a beautiful place to walk the dog. It’s not far from wonderful restaurants and a movie theater. We are planning on returning to spend more time here when we can. There’s so much to explore in Indianapolis. We highly recommend visiting it at Old Northside Bed and Breakfast!

We’re racking our brains for something negative to say. Fortunately we can’t come up with anything!

Gary was a consumate host--very obliging and thorough and makes sure his guests are well-taken care of in the room and out of the room. This is a wonderful home in the heart of Indianapolis and parking is super easy in a large private lot direclty behind the home. Our room was extremely cozy and we thoroughly enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub.

Bed was hard for our liking and we wished we had more usable pillows (more decorative pillows than not) but these were very minor concerns compared to all our likes.

Owner was amazing, loved all the free amenities and old charm of the place. Lots of snacks and drinks, and the breakfast was delicious! The host gave us a full tour and showed us all the amenities available to us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Best B&B I’ve ever stayed at!

Only complaint is I would’ve liked to have had a personal key for my door to lock it when we left, as opposed to having it unlocked when I was away and only replying on the building itself being locked.

Fabulous historic building within walking distance of downtown Indianapolis. Danny was extremely helpful and shared the history of the house with me when I checked in! There were snacks and drink available, which was a nice touch. The room was great, and the breakfast fabulous! I was there for a football game, and I was able to leave my car there until after the game!

There were no negative’s really. One thing not everyone would like- Breakfast is on a shared table - but personally I like that as you get to talk to other guests.

The B&B WAS LOCATED WITHIN LESS THAN 10 MINUTE WALK TO TWO EVENTS THAT I ATTENDED. The B&B HAD THEIR OWN PARKING LOT SAVING ME TIME HUNTING A PARKING SPACE AS WELL AS A COST TO PAY FOR PARKING, Breakfast was home cooked and eating time was determined by the guest! Several nice restaurants were within an easy walk for lunch/or dinner.

Cannot think of anything that my wife and I did not like. The area around the B&B felt safe, and we walked it several times.

The location was perfect for my needs--very close to the government office I was visiting. It is a bit north of the primary hotel and restaurant area. The proprietor-host, Gary, was very accommodating, providing luggage storage and use of the guest house parking lot for several hours after check-out. He has an excellent eye for detail. The rooms are carefully-decorated and furnished. The room's attached bathroom included a large spa tub.. A good, full breakfast in a well-appointed dining room was provided. Home-made cookies, coffee, and tea were always available .

No complaints of any kind.

Gary was such an amazing host. I definitely recommend for anyone who is in the area or someone who just wants a little get away from the hustle and bustle of Indianapolis. Such a beautiful and historic building.

There really was nothing that I could honestly say that he could have done better. I kind of wished he would have had breakfast with us, I would have loved to have heard more about his life and worldly travels. Might have to save that for another trip.

The house was located in a very quiet part of the city. We were met at the door, as we arrived a little later than expected. Breakfast was freshly made and very good. There were snacks available and so much at the house to look at and enjoy. There was a lot of history about the house that made the stay very interesting.

The only thing that was not great was the comfort of the bed. The room itself was very interesting, but the bed was kind of hard. I prefer a soft bed, so this may not be an issue for some people.

The Bed and Breakfast was decorated so beautifully. The amenities offered were amazing! Gary who owns the Bed and Breakfast provides a delicious breakfast, snacks , cookies and candy. He also has a large collection of VCR tapes and CD’s to borrow to watch. The room I stayed it was so comfortable . It has an electric fireplace and jacuzzi!

Gary is an outstanding host, very welcoming and gracious. Gave us the tour and showed us to our room. His homemade treats and breakfast were great, a very comfortable stay. He recommended an area of downtown about a mile away for restaurants, the Coke Bottling District was fantastic! So many choices under one roof. We really enjoyed our stay in Indianapolis, so we’d recommend staying here. Thank you Gary!

Weather was a bit warm and sticky but the fan helped out the AC so good sleeping
