Best Western Plus French Quarter Courtyard Hotel

The jaccuzi in the room was great.the breakfast was great.

The walls were paper thin. Every morning and night you hear everything being said outside. maintenance kept leaving their work basket outside. Our door.when you open the door you have broomhandle and dustpan handle in your face.

They serve great hot breakfast. Location is super close to Bourbor street. I love the big king bed.

A bit noisy around early morning. We could hear people walking in the hall way. Tight parking spaces, bring small cars, guys.

Love that everything was in walking distance the staff was very. Friendly and helpful

I didn’t like that I had to pay for parking and was told if I move my car I can lose my spot which is unfair that I was charge in advance there was something I wanted to do by car but was afraid of not having a parking spot also there was no microwave in the room so we couldn’t reheat up food

The location was very close to the french market and Bourbon Street . The courtyard and pool area are very relaxing. The complementary breakfast was very large and delcious, and I loved the waffle maker. There is cappucinno maker, assorted juices and teas. The staff are so friendly. The entrance is secured, accessed with your key card. The bed is very comfortable, pillows new and also comfortable. There is a safe in the room, and they provide so many towels. The room was cleaned every day. Large Tv in room with many channels, loved the view from room of courtyard .

The aircondirioner was very old and loud.

Overall, the hotel was very good, the breakfast had what seamed powdered scrambled eggs. One of the front desk staff was not as friendly as the others. There was a rat going back and forth on the walk way on the 2nd floor during the night. In addition, the hotel room I booked was not what I wanted, there was mis-information but at check in, I was able to get the room I wanted. I had even made direct contact with the hotel 2 times to secure what I wanted and that did not help. A map of rooms on the web site with a description would have been very helpful. Also, give info that every room has a mini ridge, not just the disabled room.

The rat on the walk walk used to get to your room. The issue of having to pay for parking. Many hotels I stay at don't even think of charging a guest to pay to park. Also, at one point, there was a woman sitting in the lobby who was possibly just released from the police or hospital (she had a band on her arm) and the manager had to call the police to have her removed. Also, there is a bus service right in front of the hotel but the staff had no info about it. This seems sad that they didn't take the time to learn the bus schedule or where it goes, in order to provide better service to guests.

WONDERFUL hotel. Great location, easy walking distance to the heart of the French Quarter. Very clean. Very friendly & helpful staff. Bed was SO COMFY. Nice view of Courtyard from room. Very quiet. Breakfast selection was AWESOME. Would definitely be a top choice to stay again!

Only complaint was AC unit is recessed into a cut out in wall and curtains hang even with the top of the AC unit and the wall so quite a bit of light comes through between and around the curtains and the AC unit. I am a "dark room" sleeper and this much light coming in made it a little difficult to sleep in the mornings.

Excellent location to everything a first time visitor to New Orleans would need. I food it easy walking distance to everything, including places of interest and tours. I liked that it wasn't in the heart of French Quarter so I wasn't bothered by any noise. Stayed for 4 nights. Cute hotel, exactly the look and price I was going for. Enjoyed last day by the pool before flying out. Staff were friendly and helpful on the whole, giving restaurant recommendations and suggestions of places to avoid after dark as a solo female traveller. Would stay here again.

A few times I asked breakfast staff about refills of things that had run out and they appeared grumpy and simply replied "we're out". Breakfast was basic but plentiful bar the time when they have no butter or milk left ( I suspect they didn't want to have to feel with only 30 mins left on breakfast ).

Staff were incredibly friendly and pro-active with making suggestions for dining. We were unhappy with the room we had for a couple of small reasons and they accommodated a room change for us within minutes. They had gluten free bread for breakfast and a nice selection of fruits too so for once I was able to enjoy breakfast that was included in lower costing hotels! We ate dinner in the lounge area where you have breakfast and it was really nice and relaxed and perfect with kids as they had a TV that was showing a movie too so kept them generally distracted. Just an overall really chilled place.

The room I happened to be in perhaps was just above the kitchen area maybe and some of my personal items and room had a "food smell" so maybe if you're sensitive to smells to call that out at check-in. At breakfast, the waffle making machine and area was quite messy (naturally given the product) but perhaps more regular checks to clean around areas would be helpful

Loved the hotel! It definitely had the French quarter feel that I was looking for! The breakfast was delicious and varied every morning! There are plenty of staff to keep it refilled. The Courtyard was beautiful, and the gated in private parking made me feel very safe. Also, you can't enter the hotel lobby even without a key or being buzzed in by staff. This also made me feel much safer. The rooms themselves were very pretty and clean. Our room overlooked the courtyard and was lovely. The maids stopped by every day while we were gone and straightened up the room and left fresh towels. The hotel was not too far away from the action but far enough that it was still quiet in the evenings. But everything was within walking distance.

The double beds were a little on the smaller side. It worked out fine for us since we had 2 adults and 2 toddlers. But I couldn't imagine sharing one with another full-grown adult that wasn't my significant other. The front desk staff were borderline rude and not very helpful. The bar kept closing early due to a short staffing issue. This was a problem for us since we wanted to enjoy drinks by the pool while the Littles played. We did not want to go out to a bar with small kids, especially when we just wanted one drink to enjoy at a quiet pool.

Staff was friendly.

Parking in their garage is to tight of a fit. Had to park down the street and walk back with luggage. Check out was at 11. The cleaning staff was banging on the door at 9 . Told her we would drop our card up front when we left . Cleaning staff back banging on the door at 10. Yelled we were getting dressed and a man this time opened the door. No one was at the front desk when we checked out to make a complaint not that it would do any good.
