The property had so much character and was very conveniently located to enjoy both Bar Harbor (without needing a car) and Acadia. After Booking.com mixed up our reservation, the on site staff sprang into action and went above and beyond find a creative solution. They ensured that we had everything we needed and more and made our trip so special. We highly recommend and hope to return soon!

The bar on the property closed fairly early so we didn’t get to explore it, which was sad because every other part of the hotel was so much fun. Truly no complaints, Queen Anne’s was fabulous.

The rooms are spacious - high ceilings - huge, comfortable beds, big windows. We enjoyed the Black Spot next door and playing shuffle board.

The breakfast was sub par. It was mostly a buffet of pastries. Sometimes there were apples or oranges available. There were packets of oatmeal and you could pour your own hot water into it - no raisins or nuts or brown sugar. I think without a lot of additional expense - the hotel could provide hard boiled eggs, yogurt, toppings, cut up fruit. The bathrooms are large - and old style (because it's an old building) - there often wasn't any counter space. I'd recommend adding a side table next to a sink to put your toiletries on.

Large sized room, I even had a sitting area, a dressing room and 1.5baths! Great location- walkable distance to all restaurants. Complimentary drink upon arrival. Nice decor in rooms and a lot of light flooding in. Great body lotion- whatever that was. One of the staff was particularly nice.

I stayed in the room right above the hotel‘s bar/tavern which played club-style music in the afternoon through the evening- impossible to wind down to in my room, which at this price really isn‘t acceptable. It took away from the relaxing experience. The rooms need updating- different floor heights that have you stab your toes, the bed is sagging in the middle (needs new box spring) and there were no bathrobes. I was also disappointed in the breakfast service- bagels, muffins and a tea cake/pastry- no variety, and there is no designated breakfast area to sit and eat at. There are a few tables outside on the porch, but by now it was cold and there wasn‘t enough space, so I‘d have to eat with food on my lap.

Loved the king room with the spa bath. Perfect for soaking after a long day of hiking or exploring the town of Bar Harbor. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The design of the room beautiful and charming. Very clean as well.

Can't really complain too much because it was free, however, not the biggest fan of the parking situation. It was a little tight, but it is understandable as it is a popular area. Otherwise no other critique.

The location was great. A short walk to the shops and restaurants. The room itself was spacious and updated but still keeping with the traditional aesthetic of the hotel. The staff was friendly and enthusiastically welcomed our dog. The amenities were great. An onsite bar, coffee/ice machines and delicious continental breakfast. My partner is celiac and they even had gluten free options that were handled correctly to prevent cross contamination.

The only things that could be improved is a microwave in the building away from the lobby. It is a bit far to use if you're not in the main building. A shelf in the bathroom for a bit more counter space would make the bathroom a bit more functional

Friendly staff, delicious breakfast, complimentary water and a cocktail, nice sized room, good fan and an AC if needed, nice vibe, good parking, great location, good shower, comfortable mattress, nice details

the fitted sheet on the bed would not stay in place. This problem is not unique to this establishment as I find many VRBO and even some hotels have this issue. Try the Costco brand of fitted sheets, I think they will work! Also, the room above me, while not a guest, either has ghosts or a loud tenant!

Charming and romantic hotel located in the center of Bar Harbour on a quiet street within short walking distance of everything including the path to Bar Island and a large grocery store as well as a multitude of shops and restaurants. Within short driving distance to Acadia National Park. Cozy vibe that allows you to relax instantly. To our surprise our room had a full separate living room with fireplace. Decor was beautiful and the room super clean. A/C was perfect. Mattress was lacking in plushness but was decent. Bathroom was small but functional. Many perks provided including a glass of bubbly and a coupon for one free drink at the onsite cool rum bar upon arrival. The breakfast was generous and the beautifully landscaped frontyard and friendly decks offer tons of spaces to sit and admire the neighborhood.

An extra shelf in the bathroom as well as hooks behind the bathroom door and in the main areas would be a great addition.

Location was great, bed was super comfy and the shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was nice, coffee was excellent sitting on the porch in the morning was a great way to start the day.

The stairs. It being an older building it was expected but humping luggage up them was a chore. Hint: pack light. The lock on our little balcony could have used a shot of WD-40... All in all, a great stay.

Check in was quick and painless. The King suite 5 comes with the private balcony and hot tub. There's a charging dock on the side table. WIFI worked fine. Note that although this is a ground-level room, there is one step between the main entry of the suite (which includes the bathroom) and the sleeping area. Brewed coffee on tap seemed to be available at all times. Continental breakfast is self-service and you can request gluten-free pastries. Definitely take a few minutes to review the laminated visitor suggestions cards in the lobby.

Very Quaint & Good Location

Liked & Disliked the location of our room at the property. It was perfectly located to the reception, breakfast & easy to grab coffee at any time. However because of its location, the noise from the ice maker and breakfast prep was disturbing. It was nice that they included a sound machine in the room - that did help!!!
