Comfort Inn Ellsworth

We loved everything about the inn: The room was spacious, sparkling clean, very stylish and pleasant to stay and rest after our adventures :) We came really early (around 12 pm), it was almost impossible that our room would be ready, but magically it was - and we were able to check in! We were greeted by the most friendly and cheerful Wade, who helped us a lot with printing the admission pass to the park, provided us with all sorts of maps, recommended the best places to go and really made our day - this kind of friendliness, helpfulness and comfort is what every tired traveler seeks for.

Location was great, with nice trail just behind hotel for running and biking; right next to LL Bean outlet; across the street from good Asian restaurant, grocery store. Comfortable room, good desk area, convenient. Nice and very helpful staff. Good and varied breakfast, coffee/tea available all day. Great place, and LOVE Ginger Snap the beautiful Bearnaise mountain dog!

The only slight inconvenience was the loud steps in the room over ours at night....seemed someone was almost running around upstairs, which was a bit loud both nights we stayed

House keeping on the second floor was excellent. Very accommodating and super friendly. bottom floor not so much. Stuff fell off my cart and i was just watched while i cleaned it up. no help Front deck keeps changing policies. Booked the room as pay when you arrive at the property. My credit card was charged the morning of my arrival. Not happy that they didn't keep to the "booked as" policy

Front desk staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is perfect with both major shopping areas within east walking distance.

The housekeeping staff shortage made certain tasks a challenge (trash collection and fresh towels). There was rarely coffee /fresh coffee available.

Clean and comfortable stay outside Bar Harbor. We preferred staying a little ways outside of Bar Harbor as parking down there is challenging at times and it’s nice to explore neighboring towns.

Our room only had a shear curtain covering window, while it provided privacy, it let in light. Not a huge deal but for someone who likes to sleep with blackout curtains regularly it would have been nice to have a curtain to pull across window.

The day manager was courteous and professional and very accommodating. The location was centrally located with good town access.

The property has 3 handicap rooms but only one having a roll in shower. Online booking shows all 3 having roll in showers. We needed one but couldn’t get it though we booked one.

Quiter than I expected given the location. Cookies at the check in was unexpected but thoughtful! Close to Mimi’s Cheesecake Bakery was a bonus.

Not much to see. Would have been nice to have some outside seating somewhere to enjoy the Maine summer evening after a busy day.

the room wasn’t completely clean, the bathroom floor still had hair and dust on it. Enough to notice made me feel it wasn’t swept or vacuumed

Breakfast was plentiful, a lot of choices and delicious. Although short staffed due to lack of personnel every employee was courteous, helpful and welcoming!

The price, but it is a tourist area. So as expected.

Location

There were flies and spiders in our room. Room had a musty smell. There were scratch makes on the bathroom door and what looked like dirt marks on the inside of room door . Paying $249.00 I expected better. The complimentary breakfast was also disappointing no cream cheese or jelly. No cold cereal very limited.
