The facilities in an older building were very nicely done, fun & trendy, not overboard. The staff was super nice and the choice of a very good restaurant with a good bar (2 excellent dinners + 1 breakfast + coffee), a second very fun bar and also a speak easy! The neighborhood/location was excellent too, not a super busy place but there was a nice bistro across the street and separate wine bar that was packed too. Short walking distance to the Washington Monument with nice parks around the monument that were occupied by dog walkers and generally locals hanging out.

No safe in the room! Where do you put your valuable???? Room was moody and cool but way too dark with no options to light it up.

Location is couple of blocks from monument in Mt. Vernon neighborhood. Charming area with strong LGBTQ presence and historical spaces/buildings. One of the 'safe' neighborhoods. Hotel has 2 bars-Ash and Blooms. Both are a delight on the senses. Restaurant is in Ash Bar and was 5 star quality. Room was simply adorable with 4 poster bed, custom thermostat, ample outlets (no USB) and a bathroom with WOW factor! Staff were friendly and helpful. Pro tip: parking on street is free beginning 6 pm Saturday and all day Sunday. Otherwise the meter is $1.75/hour from 8am-6. There is a garage nearby-not sure of cost. For anyone over 50, bring your flashlight lol lighting everywhere is dim. Sets an intimate ambiance but can be challenging finding things like elevator electronic access pad or reading menus. Nothing 'corporate ' here and amuch needed and welcome change to the typical hotel. Like Baltimore 's moniker "Charm City", this hotel oozes turn of the century luxury with a hint of the quirky. Make sure you read the newspaper in your room. Best horoscopes ever. I suspect John Waters helped write them lol

Valet parking is $48!

Unique hotel in a historic building in the quaint Baltimore neighborhood of Mount Vernon. It was easy to walk around and see the tourist sites in the immediate area, and it only took 20 mins to walk to Inner Harbor. Penn Station was only about a 12 min walk away, so it was easy to catch the train to go to D.C. or anywhere else; the Lightrail was also very close, which runs to/from the airport. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and there was a restaurant onsite for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (get the crab cakes!). Our room was clean and comfortable.

The AC unit did not seem to work. When we tried to make it cooler in the room, it just stayed at 77F the whole time.

Our stay at the Ulysses was near-flawless. The property itself is gorgeous and doesn't cut corners; you can tell they put a great amount of thought into everything. Staff were so friendly and attentive, and we had help with whatever we asked about. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and so cute despite being slightly small. And the restaurant and bar - both of which we tried at least once - were wonderful. My partner and I are so excited to stay here again!

Honestly, very few things could be improved, but a couple of things stood out. Our room was a bit dark; even an additional single light would have helped without compromising the overall look. We also wish there had been a mini-fridge in our room, just in case. The front desk did allow us to keep our leftovers in a fridge downstairs, though.

I love all the unique details and beautiful everything! I love the leopard print carpet in our room, the bathroom and shower are amazing! I really enjoyed the feel of the hotel throughout! Baltimore can be a little scary in some areas bit this area around the hotel is really nice, beautiful architecture surrounding the area. There is 2 restaurants/bars attached to the hotel. We ate at Ash Bar, and everything was SOO GOOD!! & the prices were very reasonable! I was a bit concerned about the size of the bed..it looked a little small but my husband (who is 220lbs/6ft 2) and I both slept comfortable.

No parking, but there is parking across the street and it’s about $17 a day.

Excellent value for the quality of the accommodations. Rooms were creative and unique with beautiful fabrics. Not corporate or boring. Very fun and inspiring atmosphere. The staff is outstanding, food (breakfast) and drinks of superior quality. The location is charming, across the street from wine bar and flowers-filled bistro. Architecture of the neighborhood (Mt Vernon Square) is beautiful

No Lobby or common lounge areas. While there is a sofa in the Ash bar, it is impossible to access on a weekend night and closes early so there is nowhere for hotel guests to sit. Twice we couldn’t even get in to the Ah bar to get a drink without a reservation. Room lacked some amenities but had great character and comfortable beds. For the price no complaints

Price for the quality of accommodations was excellent. Staff terrific, superior food (breakfast) and drink . Creative design. Not corporate or bland. Very unique. Nice location across from cute bistro and wine bar. The architecture of Mt Vernon Square is lovely Corner rooms with 2 doubles or a king are the best. Queens small but inexpensive.

No lobby or common lounge areas for guests. The Ash bar had a sofa, but it closes early and then nowhere to sit. Also when the Ash bar was full, hotel guests couldn’t access the seating area. Twice we wanted a drink and couldn’t get in without a reservation

Loved the decor --beautiful, clean, hip. Excellent restaurant. Enjoyed our dinner and our breakfast -- good coffee, fresh muffin. Helpful staff, we needed to borrow a phone cord and they loaned us one. Good cotton sheets -- comfortable bed.

I wish the windows opened -- I like fresh air. That really is my only complaint. Minor complaint -- would've liked more light in the dining room at breakfast so that I could more easily read the newspaper without my phone's flashlight. But happy to have the Sunday NY Times available -- along with other local newspapers.

I loved the location, cleanliness, decoration, personnel helpfulness and responsiveness and the overall experience of the hotel. Lovely restaurant, small but nice variety for breakfast.

I did not like the fact that the water in the shower was very very weak, almost like dripping, which made showering really hard and time-consuming. Also, the temperature of the room was too cold on multiple occasions, we could not change the settings but after asking multiple times the staff were finally able to turn on the air conditioning on warm and the room warmed up fast.

Very good interior design, and it combines well with modern technologies. The restaurant there is exceptional, and the price is not sky-high. The staff are friendly and responsive. There was a tiny issue during my stay, but it was perfectly resolved in a timely fashion.

I'm not familiar with Baltimore's municipal building codes, but I don't think the main entrance is ADA-compliant. At least there should be a ramp (even if it's steep) to make it easier for heavy luggage. EV drivers, be careful! Their valet parking doesn't provide a charging station. The closest one will be a 10-min walk away.
