It was one of the most affordable hotels for our budget for our short stay in Boston. The hotel itself is really clean and comfortable, decent shower, super friendly staff and a convenient breakfast included in our rates. I was worried about getting into the city from the Chelsea area, where the hotel is situated, as we wanted to avoid driving in due to the traffic. We ended up getting the free airport shuttle and stopping at the airport subway stop, this was free and quick to get to. It took about 30 minutes to get into the city on the train. We ended up getting taxis back as it was only 10-15 mins back.

There is the Chelsea train station stop not far from the hotel, and as there is a crossing, the trains honk their horns during the day and late evening. We could hear it through our window, but it didn't honk when we slept. As it's not central, you have to consider how to get into the city to see the sights. Even though it was affordable for Boston, the general pricing in the USA has gone up a lot over the past few years, so things seem more expensive- especially food and drink. The hotel food menu is a little limited, but convenient.

The room and location were good. The staff were mostly good.

I was very disappointed in the shuttle pick yup service from the airport. I waited more than an hour for the shuttle. When I rang to find out why there was such a delay, they lied to me and said the shuttle had stopped at the bus stop and couldn't find me because I did not have a US phone number. When I told the person in the phone that I had not moved from the bus stop for the last 70 minutes she then checked with the driver who said he was too full so didn't go by my stop. I wish she had checked her information first rather trying to blame me. The shuttle from the hotel to the airport was reliable and always left on time.

Traveled with family to Boston to watch my brother and his wife run the Boston Marathon. Congratulations Jerry and Julie from Dallas, Oregon!!! We all had rooms at the Double Tree. The location is very close to public transportation, which was perfect. Getting to Boston was easy and convenient. However, the hotel is also located next to train tracks which run all through the night. Not convenient if you can't sleep through a locomotive. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. l want to give housekeeping 5 stars because they cleaned our room daily (upon request) and kept us stocked with clean linens. Check in and out were quick and easy. The front desk was able to check us in 3 hours early upon arrival which was awesome because we expected them to hold our luggage until the room was ready. Despite the train, we had a great stay! Don't forget to ask the front desk for your chocolate chip cookie each day! They are fabulous!!!

As you will have seen, hotels in Boston are frightfully expensive. So I went for the airport where they are slightly cheaper and because I had an early morning departure. Location of this one was good - a SL3 bus stops literally one minute from the hotel and gets you to South Station in about 20 minutes. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the airport departing every half hour from 5am and taking 10-20 minutes. Room was spacious and comfortable. Facilities good. Staff helpful if a little cold.

Room a little noisy due to railway track and level crossing nearby, so the trains would hoot loudly on approach. But that stopped at about 11.00pm and overnight. Breakfast OK but I thought plastic utensils and paper bowls unconscionable for environmental reasons.

Location of hotel is great for airport especially for my one night stay. Allowed me to save time, convenient and with variery of transfer options. *Large comfy bed and breakfast was delicious too.* Thank you! Assistant manager Simone provided an excellent above and beyond service. I cannot thank Simone enough for resolving and rectifying a problem with transport. Hotel booked for an senior family member. Comments and reviews taken from them. I am delighted to hear that the description of hotel I booked, met their expectations.

There was a misunderstanding with shuttle transfer pick up from airport. This resulted in me waiting a long time then, having to get a taxi as we could not locate each other.. However staff assistant manage Simone was so helpful in resolving this matter quickly and also gave an extra hour on room from troubles. Simone was professional, caring and nothing seemed too much trouble to correct the misunderstanding. This resulted in making the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Just what you need before taking a long flight the following day. Thank you!

The Hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. Our room car very spacious, with huge a bathroom. We came in very late and the staff was attentive and nice. The cookies we got at check-in were a delight for tired travelers. The breakfast buffet had good variety and the staff there also very attentive and caring. We had time the day after to explore Boston and left our luggage at the hotel for checkout and then took an Uber downtown. Everything was so smooth and easy, and the ride from the hotel downtown took about 10-15 min. We then took the airport shuttle to the airport in the afternoon - all very happy and we will absolutely come back if we pass through Boston again.

Just two things: 1) the bathroom lacked all ventilation, there bathroom doesn’t have any windows nor ventilation. 3 out of 4 of us took a shower in the morning and the whole room changed into a steam bath and there was no way for us to vent, no window we could open or anything. If we would have showered in the evening we couldn’t have slept in the room afterwards. 2) There was so much plastic in the breakfast buffet, plastic cutlery, plastic bowls, plastic coffee cups… out of environmental point of view the hotel could do so much better.

Unable to park my car at the airport because I booked on Booking.com rather than Booking directly with the hotel. Took 2 hours to get from the airport back to the hotel...we didn't have a tight schedule luckily. This would be challenging for those with young families, tight schedules etc.

Although it takes a bit of time, transportation to downtown wasn't too bad. Just take the silver line to the airport blue line, then a quick train ride to downtown. Not ideal, but much cheaper than staying in downtown. Amenities nearby (restaurants mainly) were somewhat lacking, but it's easy to have things delivered nowadays. Grocery stores nearby as well if you want to get some room snacks.

I know it's a hotel near a big city that has a high cost of living, but the price seemed a bit steep for the area it was located in. However, the quality of beds (soft beds, soft pillows) and cleanliness made up for that because space, comfort, and cleanliness were exceptional.

The property was very clean & offered a shuttle service from the airport which saved us a good amount on a ride share. the room was a nice size for the price and the bathroom was huge. The hotel room amenities were comfy & we had more than enough to cover our entire stay. There’s a small restaurant/bar. Food was great and server was great. Prices weren’t too bad. The location is about 15 mins from Boston.

The front staff could be friendlier. I’m not sure if they’re just short staffed and over worked, but the front staffed seemed a bit inconvenienced by us. Additionally, they added $200 temporary hold fee, which was fine, but they also charge $179 per day (which is pending). For me it’s fine because I used a credit card & have a higher limit, but someone with a lower limit or using a debit card might not have an additional $700 (plus the hotel fee). I’m sure the additional fees will fall off, but like I said, be prepared to see a ton of extra charges.

Large bedroom, comfortable bed and good amenities. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to help me print something. Swimming pool is a good temperature.

Swimming pool times are restricted (9am, not ideal for that start-of-your-day swim). At breakfast they are still only offering plastic cups and plastic cutlery, which is so wasteful and so uncomfortable... there should at least be the choice of real cutlery and cups.
