if you want a motel, not a hotel, that is well located, affordable, quiet, in a lovely village, walking distance from cafés and stores and antique shops, near lake, with huge free on-site parking, and centrally located between Worcester and Amherst for college visits, with a huge flatscreen TV, in-room coffee and a microwave and fridge, this is the perfect place. The furnishings are not modern but the room was clean, the people who owned it are very nice and helpful, the king size bed was extra wide and the bathroom nice and large including a tub as well as a shower. I don't like fancy hotels that require you to haul your baggage from a huge distance or park on the street, I would much rather have a Quiet family run motel where my car is just steps from the door and I can bring in food and snacks and have a dang refrigerator to keep them in! I am coming back for another 10 days in a week. this place would also be perfect for a family who needs economical but practical accommodations. As a solo female traveler I felt totally safe. Love the little village around it. it's very close to a confluence of freeways in Massachusetts so it was easy on-easy off the fwyto head to Worcester, Boston, Springfield, Hartford CT and through the woods to Amherst. But still mellow & quiet.

Furnishings and bedspreads could be updated but that really does not concern me.

Great location, super quiet. There was a really soft blanket on the bed that was so comfortable. Accommodations were reminiscent of places that I stayed when I was much younger. This was a great place to sleep after a long night on the road. Appreciated having a drop box for super easy checkout. The desk clerk was very accommodating and helpful at check in. Ample parking.

Even though it was a non-smoking room, there was still a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. There were drain flies or some sort of other flying insect when I first arrived in my room, which were slightly annoying.

This is a case of that Old Adage “one should never judge a book by its cover.” The Economy Lodge set back a little-ways and it’s easy to miss (especially at night) if you are not familiar with the roads in the area. All I can say is that it was wonderful experience, super clean rooms, plush bedding, and a spotless bathroom, plus many other amenities to be listed in the space provided. It is definitely wonderful experience all around and worthy of your consideration for weekend getaway during this upcoming foliage season we have here in New England.

This is a nice property for an off-beat stay. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Boston. It has its own laid-back charm. The rooms are pretty decent and with ample parking spaces outside. The staff is extremely helpful. Special mention for Mr. Jack and his team. They have done a fantastic job of maintaining such a nice property at this quiet little town. Coordination with him was seamless. They were extremely accommodative of our sudden plan changes and rescheduling became much easier due to their help. The experience was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely stay there again!!

There were nothing specific to dislike. Everything was near-perfect during our stay. There was one appliance which was not working. But special mention again to Mr. Jack, for providing special attention and immediately resolving that for our comfort.

convenient location, excellent customer service, quiet. pet friendly, which is a plus bc not many people travel with cats…we have 2. I had no issue paying the extra $25 per cat per night. I was able to add on another night without any problems.

Overall it needs updating. The room was on point with the cost. I added a nights stay and that rate was much higher than the one night I booked on booking.com. The higher rate was too much for the room. I did my own cleaning because of the cats, so I have no opinion of the housekeeping.

Jack and Nancy are genuine and community orientated, and work hard to make people comfortable during their stay. I have a service dog, and while it’s a pet friendly establishment (on a case by case basis) they understood the difference, and treated us accordingly.

The other customers do not pickup their pet potty and dispose of it properly, they just leave it. jack and Nancy have established policies but they are often ignored. I would love to see more customers treat Jack and Nancy with more respect by following their simple rules, because this ensures more people are comfortable during their stay. Jack and Nancy are great!

I traveled here from Dallas, TX to be a travel nurse and where I was originally going to stay didn't work out.I found this hotel on my booking.com app.I was very nervous considering I don't no anything or anybody here. I CAN'T THANK JACK, NANCY, AND SMITH ENOUGH for accommodating me at such a short notice and it was late at night. The room was very nice, clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. Everything was so good that I'm going to spend my 8 weeks here.

I have no complaints because they were awesome

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The property is kept clean and quiet. The lawn is kept very nice. The balcony is awesome.

TV was broken but it wasn't the staff's fault for not knowing. The shower water was too hot and hurt my skin.

Close to Brimfield 5-10 minutes

It’s an older hotel but the rooms are clean and the showers are hot. we stayed a weak no problems room cleaned everyday. This place does not have a pool. Bring soda the refrigerator only runs 4 hours at a time. So a cooler would be ideal to bring.

Can't beat the price, under $100 it was definitely a no-brainer. A little bit out of Sturbridge nice and quiet conveniently located to everything.

Can't say that I didn't like anything it was a little outdated I'm probably can you use to be freshened up a little bit but I can't say I didn't like it it's a place to stay it's not my home it did exactly what it was supposed to do was to keep me warm overnight why I slept watch TV and it had facilities and it was cleaned I mean what more you really want?
