Best Western Plus New Englander

My kids and I have stayed here a few times when we’ve had plans in Boston. I love the location - it’s right off the highway, there are gas stations and restaurants nearby and it’s less than 20 minutes from Boston. The price is right - around $100 for a room with two queen sized beds. There are a decent number of options for the included breakfast, parking is free and there’s a heated pool! The facilities, including the pool area, are clean. We always leave here satisfied.

Comfortable room, very clean. Bins emptied and beds made every day. Convenient location for highways. Coffee machine made good coffee and water dispenser filled our bottles with cold water for the day. Fridge in the bedroom was quite large for a room fridge.

Strong disinfectant smell on entering the room that took 1 day to go away. Air conditioning was sometimes re-set by the cleaning staff so one evening it was really cold when we got back. No extractor fan in bathroom. No wholewheat bread in the breakfast offerings = low on healthy food.

The pool was an definite plus. The breakfast was great everyday. Room was clean & the maid stopped by almost everyday to make the beds & pick up wet towels. The hotel was recently remodeled. The lobby was very nice. I had also requested a room near an entrance or elevator. We were 2 doos from an entrance. Liked the new key system. Beds were very comfortable.

The room was small for 2 adults & a child. There was no separate seating area, and no towel racks. We had to make several trips to the front desk for additional towels, & once for toilet paper.

I was in town for a funeral, and I put in the wrong dates for my stay. The girl up front was amazing! (I'm kicking myself for not getting her name) I arrived Friday March 10th so please look up who was working. The girl without any extra stress for me helped me change the date to the correct date ( that night)so that my family (husband and toddler) could check in while I headed out ti the wake. My mistake could have caused huge issues, considering we had just driving 2 1/2 hours with a 2 year old. However the girl fixed the problem within a matter of minute so we were able to get up to the room. I just think she should be recognized for going above and beyond. She made what could have been a extra stressful situation, a complete breeze. We'll come back because of how she handled things.

Property was nice for the price. Grab an go breakfast wasn’t so bad they still had a variety of options however with the band lifted I feel hotels should slowly start bringing that back. Pool was big and nice. Staff was helpful.

Pool could have been cleaner it didn’t look like it was being cleaned as frequently as it should or even in the few days we stayed. And I’m not sure if the heating gage was broken or it was just the glass windows but it was way to cold when getting out of the pool to sit out or go to the bathroom. Shower water barley was hot even at it’s hottest for 3 days. Would have been a 10 though if it wasn’t for those few things

The room was a good sized space. The breakfast was very good, and the staff at the desk were friendly and helpful. They allowed me the chance to practice my musical instruments in one of the meeting rooms, and this was very helpful for me.

The bathroom did not have any towel bars, and so it was a little awkward for showers and having hand towels ready to dry hands. The front desk did not have replacement towels ready one morning, and I had already put the used ones in the hallway to be picked up. Also, the shower did not have a mat on the floor and my wife was especially concerned with the safety of it, hoping that she would not slip. The lady at the front desk did offer some extra floor towels to put on the floor of the bath area to help with this. One morning, the coffee was not available in the buffet area for quite awhile, although we were still able to make coffee in our room. One night there was a lot of noise in the hallway with people knocking on doors repeatedly around 4:30 AM, making it hard to go back to sleep.

Very nice clean comfortable room. Bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast was nice, There were omelets, scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries, yogurt, bagels, pancakes, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, a variety of juices and coffee. Would stay here again.

Could hear people in the hallway at night. Used a white noise app on my phone and drowned that out. The yogurt machine was out of order the last day we were there. Even though we didn't use it, there was a sign on the pool door said out of order on the last day we were there. Other than that we really liked the hotel and would stay again.

Gentleman setting up breakfast is extremely cordial, nice, and funny. Hard worker. 24/7 coffee area is well stocked and impressive.

The beds were good, but not as comfortable as other hotels we've stayed at recently. This is purely personal, as everyone is different. I slept well, so there you go.

Cleanliness of the room. Being able to come back and take a swim. A nice breakfast before we started our day.

As you stated above, I requested rooms to be close together upon booking and even made a call to confirmed that they would do this. It was no done, but they did find a room on the same floor for us. No connecting rooms in this hotel. Asked the staff 3 continuous days in a row to replace light over the door of room 209 because it pulsed the whole time we were there, and I finally gave up. The fact the they don't even empty the garbage cans in the rooms daily I find wrong.

The room was clean and the staff was very nice. Perfect location for our trip to visit both Boston and Salem, both locations were an easy drive as the hotel is right off the I-93. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as well - eggs, omelets, sausage, pancakes, cereal, coffee, juice, muffins, bagels, and more. We didn't get to enjoy the pool or gym but they both looked very nice. Hotel is near restaurants and gas stations making it easy to get things you forgot or might need. There is also a small little shop in the hotel for bottled drinks and quick meals and snacks.
