Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn Hills, an IHG Hotel

Rooms were very clean. Appreciated that I had booked two rooms and was given adjoining rooms. Staff was super polite and helpful during all interactions. Location was good (we were attending a concert at Pine Knob). Lots of great food options nearby. Price was very reasonable.

There was a bit of wear in the rooms, not outside of what is typical (bathroom had a gap/crack in shower surround) for a busy hotel. One of the traveling companions did not like the mirror in the fitness center as they felt the location of behind the treadmill felt off (could be personal preference).

This hotel was great, the front reception woman was awesome!! I believe her name was Annette, she was the best person I have ever experienced in a hotel, unfortunately I didnt get a chance to thank her before we left but I am hoping that she will see this and next time we are there I hope she is also still there. The room was very clean and very nice, the bed was also very comfortable

The only complaint that we have is that the shower was cold, but we spoke to the people at the front desk and they said that they were having issues and that they had repair people coming .

At the time of check in the staff was phenomenal! Clean room and breakfast was great

The receptionist that “helped” me on the phone when I called to confirm my room. He said there was no room for me even though I had a confirm # Then he preceded to be rude and very confrontational, as I was as well because I was stressed that he said I didn’t have one. It was booked in January 22 so I know I had one. He even cursed at me on the phone. That is not great customer service. I was not pleased at him and it was there or he was when I got there Saturday I would’ve confronted him … Very disappointing

The staff are extremely friendly. Our room was very clean and smelled really nice. The bed was really comfortable. The air temperature was great. Breakfast offerings were really good.

We really liked everything. The only thing I would change is that the window has a blind, but no curtains so in the morning there’s no way to prevent the sun from coming in around the blind but we probably need to get up anyway.

The location is perfect , easy excess on and off highway. The room was clean and quite. Front desk staff was very pleasant as was the housekeeper on 3rd floor .

Did not care for the breakfast ,milk was warm , juice was like it was watered down . Not much for kids to eat ,was out of pancakes at 9 am . Yes they had fruitloops but milk was nasty. Chocolate True Mo milk was gross .

Rooms were clean, beds comfortable, lady at check-in was super friendly and welcoming, nice breakfast ,close to mall and restaurants, pool was warm enough to comfortably swim with small kids

Noisy guests at late night hours, pancake maker out of order on the 2nd day( grandkids disappointed), some type of sausage or bacon would be a great addition

The breakfast was good. Cinnabon is always a hit. The location was great, we were able to walk to the shopping center from the hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. I will miss that bidet.

There were a few times that staff wasn't paying attention and talking amongst themselves, but that didn't really bother me all that much.

Got adjoining rooms. Breakfast was back! Saturday breakfast was very good. Gal that was keeping it stocked did a wonderful job and kept everything clean!

Sunday breakfast was disappointing. Gal acted like we were putting her out by wanting food at 9:15 when it closed at 10. Food was not kept up and she never cleaned off tables. She even had another gal helping her at times. If we hadnt had such a good one on Saturday we wouldn't have been so critical. It was very busy both days so really no good excuse for difference.

The hotel was very clean and safe, located near Great Lakes Crossing, ALDI supermarket, lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Very quiet, no disturbances at all during the night. The pool was clean and maintained, which was a huge plus for my kids.

Due to a staff shortage, our rooms were not cleaned at all during our stay. We were informed of this on check in and told to call the front desk when we needed new towels or linens. Also the full hot breakfast was not available, just cold items like cereal, yogurts, muffins. Not a big deal to us but it would have been cool to get a discount since the typical amenities were lacking.

The staff were very kind and welcoming, breakfast was excellent and the pool area was kept tidy and clean. the room was nice and location in relation to the pool(because we have little kids) was perfect!

No hot tub :( but we knew that prior to booking and that wasn’t a deal breaker, obviously!
