Comfortable, clean room, beautifully decorated to suit the era of the hotel. I requested and was given a corner room on the top floor, with nice views and full of light. Excellent bed, very comfortable. Staff were so kind and helpful, went out of their way to assist us. Right in the middle of downtown so you can walk to restaurants, shops etc. Highly recommended. The diner attached to the hotel is excellent, good food, great staff and reasonably priced

Nothing. Perhaps small fridge and coffee maker in the room would be nice however coffee tea etc are easily available any time downstairs.

The property is conveniently for the airport and all of the downtown restaurants and bars. The bar in the hotel is nice. I wish the restaurant in the hotel was open more often.

I didn’t think the front desk staff was very friendly or helpful. We had to carry our own bags to our room or wait a long time. Their airport shuttle time we needed was booked and we would have had to leave at 4:30 am which was way early or take the 5:30am which would have made us late. One of the main reasons we booked the Northern was their shuttle. We ended up taking a $40 Uber instead.

Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Very clean with modern amenities in vintage building. Two excellent restaurants; Bernie’s Dinner for breakfast and lunch, and TEN for cocktails and dinner. TEN, however, was considerably more pricey than comparable restaurants in Billings. Comfortable bed and nice linens. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Valet parking and excellent, central location. We have family in Billings and happily return to the Northern when visiting.

Lumpy pillows.

I really liked the way the room was set up, with the bathroom actually behind the beds/living area. Additionally, the towels were actually soft, not like the stiff burlap towels at other hotels. We also enjoyed having a drink at the bar. We liked that it was downtown and we could walk to many restaurants.

Nothing. We stayed at four different hotels during our stay in the state of Montana, and The Northern was, by far, the nicest. We'd definitely stay there again if we ever return to Billings.

Room was excellent. Valet service was great. The bar was great and service was exceptional. The entire process and services was perfect. This is my second time at this hotel and I will be staying there on my next visit there.

As far as the room goes, it was outstanding and very clean. The room could use USB outlets in the room somewhere. The bedside lamps are a perfect place to put USB outlets. That is the only thing I have to say that is not a positive.

The restaurant Ten was amazing and we had an awesome waitress, Michele. She was so personable and took care of everything for us above and beyond. I found that all the hotel employees we encountered were so nice. It has been awhile since I have experienced such a wonderful and kind hotel staff. Kudos to all.

Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working. We called the front desk and I was given instructions on how to get it to work but it never did so we had a fan brought to our room but it was still too warm.

The room was very comfortable and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was all up to date and modern. Overall the stay was perfect for us. The location was perfect. Some of the best restaurants in Billings were just outside the hotel. Parking was right next door and free with the hotel pass.

Being on the fourth floor I could hear all the street noise but it wasn't too bad. This hotel is located in downtown Billings so that is to be expected.

The room was great, the location with the view of the parking garage wasn’t so great. I didn’t mind it since we only stayed at the hotel during the evenings to sleep. The service was wonderful. I wish that there were coffee makers in the room or a mini fridge.

I wrote above, that the view wasn’t so great. We had the room on the 9th floor with the view of the parking garage. I think for about $200 a night, a better view would have been better since we booked about a month or more earlier.

Very good location. Close to restaurants and big farmer’s market on Saturday. The bed was extremely comfortable and room was spacious. Parking was adjacent in a garage with a skyway into the hotel. It was well lit and I felt safe. Room was extremely clean and well appointed.

I was disappointed we didn’t have rooms next to each other despite a communique from the hotel saying they could honor our request.

Hands down the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The pillows are really something special! This hotel is really lovely with attention to detail that really makes you feel special.

You can smell Bernie's (restaurant downstairs). I actually LOVE to eat there. They have great breakfast but I don't want to smell it all day. I have stayed at The Northern on five different occasions & the smell of the diner is ever present.
