Alpine Lodge Red River

I loved the quiet peaceful atmosphere. it was in walking distance of everything in town. The room was clean and contained everything I needed except a hair dryer, which was supplied at the office.

Being from Texas where weather does not fluctuate much during the year, I was not familiar with “off season” so the office staff was not available much of the time. I was, however, given a phone number to call if I needed any assistance. I was disappointed that so many businesses in town were closed, but once again, that is because I was not familiar with “off season” changes.

The location was ideal with eateries within walking distance and close to the event we attended.

It was awkward not to have power outlets next to the beds since phone charging and access are far more convenient next to the bed rather than getting up to go across the room or bathroom to answer or use the cellphone, and also needing it to charge. A micro wave did not exist in the room also an inconvenience

Very sweet small room in hotel between the river and the main drag. Nice shower. Loved the family-friendly red sauce Italian place across the way and totally charmed by the surly waitress who let us know that Alpine Lodge guests get a 10% discount!

Red River was a shock after camping—hordes of people, many on ATVs. But the lodge was a refuge.

I liked the location of the room, the bed is comfortable but for an older, or short person makes it a little difficult to get into due to the height. Staff was wonderful, the housekeeper was awesome. Loved the internet and cable television. Liked that there is no smoking or pets allowed.

Didn't like the pillows, but next time I will bring mine. Didn't like that there was only one bathroom.

The only thing I did not like was the King room I had (18j did not have a comfortable seat. There was the bed and 2 small, wooden dinette chairs that were not designed for comfort. I did not want to lounge on the bed, and that was my only option. Everything else was perfect.

Room was very clean and well kept. Parking was excellent and we were less than a block from the ski lift and zip line. Caught several trout in Red River that runs through the property. I have no reservation in recommending the Alpine Lodge.

Our larger room was nice for our needs. You cannot beat the location, the grounds, and the views. A river runs nearby and you can comfortably walk anywhere in town from here. Everything was clean and we could see that the property is very well managed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I think airconditioning is uncommon here as it is at high altitude and cool. However it was in the high 80´s for out stay and the room was a bit warm even at night. The property should be taking advantage of efficiency improvement grants soon because the exterior windows and doors need to be replaced. They seem to be aware of efficiency because all of the lamps and fixtures are LED. Kudos for that. These are COVID times, so almost everyone in town is short-staffed. So daily room service was not available. This was not a problem for us. We were able to get fresh towels with a smile.

This facility is in the heart of the town. It's very quaint on the outside, it's been there a while. The rooms are pretty, spotless and have everything we needed. Very nicely decorated. There is a fire pit and a little stream that runs through the back of the property. Just beautiful. The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. It was a great stay.

This is petty, but the bathroom sink is little and I had a hard time getting my big head down to wash my face. That's truly the only complaint, it was a great place.

Beds where confy but didn’t included breakfast. For the price It should have. Very good location in the center of everything..

No AC.. when I call in about this they laughed at me and said it’s the mountains we don’t need it.. But out 2nd night after fishing all day getting to the hotel at night it got super hot in the suite I couldn’t sleep.

Close to shopping, great mountain view. Large grassy area, good for family wiffle ball, frisbee etc. Many gas grills and charcoal grills throughout the grounds ( charcoal grills subject to burn bans). Friendly staff, let us check in early.
