Manager and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bed and pillows were too firm and was located too close to the window. There was plenty of room to move it a good foot further away from the window so that a person could get into it without having to shuffle sideways along the window wall.

This was the second year I stayed at the Scottish Inns for Potsdam’s Reunion Weekend. I plan to stay there again next year! This year I booked a double because a family member came with me. I think I will book a double going forward regardless if I’m traveling alone or not. It was more spacious and worth the extra few dollars for the upgrade. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom was spotless and had soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. The bed was really comfortable, on the firm side just how I like it, and the pillows were nice as well. I slept solidly both nights! The room was cleaned on the morning of the second day and fresh towels and toiletries were provided. This was NOT the case at the last 2 large chain hotels I’ve stayed at - you had to specifically ask for cleaning services and fresh towels! The air conditioning worked perfectly which was a welcomed relief because it was a really hot and humid weekend. The facility overall is just super cute! Exactly what you expect when going to a small town like Potsdam for your college reunion!! The continental breakfast offered enough to hold us over before meeting friends for brunch. Coffee & teas, bananas and apples, bagels & bread, butter and cream cheese, cereal, juices, water… They opened at 7am which this early riser very much appreciated! The manager was a friendly and kind gentleman who was very accommodating. He appears to live on site and it is obvious he prioritizes customer care. Overall, a great weekend with very good accommodations!

Location was great for where I had to go. Other than car doors closing when new people arrived it was quiet. I was especially impressed with the room. The room was immaculate. Everything was clean! Even behind the furniture. I found that out as I had to move the nightstand to plug in my Cpap machine. It had a microwave, fridge, desk area, and chair to watch t.v. There was also a bench in front of the rooms if you wanted to enjoy the fresh air. Had an air conditioner and heat. I was running late so I didn't have time to check out the breakfast area. I would stay there again. Hotel staff were very friendly and pleasant.

The room was spotless! Very clean! I’ve stayed at much larger, newer, and more expensive hotels and been disgusted with the cleanliness of the rooms! This motel is older and smaller but impeccably clean and I’ll take clean any day over newer, bigger but dirty! The people who own/run the motel were kind and helpful. The continental breakfast was a thoughtful touch. The location was perfect for visiting any or all of the 4 colleges in the area. The room price was very fair and their cancellation policy was fantastic by allowing up until 2 days before night of stay to cancel without any payment being charged. I’ve recently been burned a few times by others policies of taking 1/2 the fee up front and making it non refundable after 48 hours even when booking is 2 months out in advance

Meticulously maintained property. Everything is spotless, including bathroom tiles- sparkling white, no signs of mildew. Details for maximum comfort are thoroughly thought through in the room accommodation as far as very small room would allow. Bedding is comfortable, both mattresses and pillows. Outside is also meticulous, very, very well kept. Motel is very reasonably priced compared to area accommodations, and the price includes continental breakfast. There are microwaves and mini fridge in the room and cooler/hot water dispenser in the main office.

Having coffee maker directly in the room would be appreciated.

The gentleman at the desk was friendly, warm and welcoming. The room was SPOTLESS. When we opened the door, it smelled fresh and CLEAN. It is evident that the facility has been updated. The shower/bathroom were lovely. I do appreciate the attention to the cleanliness. The beds were comfortable. The room was QUIET. Thank you!

My travel plans. I could only stay 1 night! The motel was excellent.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and recently renovated. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was good. Breakfast foods are available. Free wi-fi and parking. The owners, a kind and gentle couple, live on-site with the children. We had no issues requiring intervention, but were greeted warmly when we arrived and they asked about our stay when we saw them in the morning. The location is a great place to stay when visiting the area and is close to St. Lawrence University, Clarkson, and University of Potsdam.

A bit of road noise is to be expected due to location, but didn't keep us up.

It was clean and well maintained. Got services with fresh towels. Desk person was friendly. Bed was comfortable and the room was reasonably quiet

Breakfast was really pretty weak and rooms were small. It was somewhat spartan, but it was what we expected. This location in the past had not been good, but the new owners have clearly upgraded it substantially

Was very pleasantly surprised to find this modest property very clean, orderly, comfortable, and hosted by one of the most kind and hard-working person you'll meet. No - this is not the Ritz. But for the money, this was a great location with more than adequate facilities and a welcoming staff.

No complaints for what this is.

The owner greeted us with a warm welcome. He answered all of our questions and willingly accommodated our late arriving guests. Every staff member was very helpful and supplied extra garbage bags and tissues upon request. The location was perfect; we were able to get to the St. Lawrence campus and the restaurants in Potsdam. Thanks! We’ll be back!
