Finger Lakes Lodging

I traveled to Skeanatles for a wedding. The lodge was only a 5min or less drive from town. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept great. I went outside after dark and had a wonderful view of the stars and listened to the wildlife from afar.

Since I was in town for a wedding I wish the room had better lighting and a full size mirror. The shower was very small and there was zero light in the shower.

The room’s rustic theme was well carried out right into the bathroom. We loved the rocking chair and tiny fireplace/stove. So cozy! The mattress was comfortable and we got a great night’s sleep. The Italian restaurant directly across the street has delicious food and was obviously THE place to be - it was packed on a Wednesday night in March.

The outside appearance of the lodge wasn’t as nice as the photos had made it appear but once indoors we couldn’t have been happier with the decor and comfort. In all fairness, not much looks great on a rainy day in late March with snow and ice still in evidence!

Beautiful comfortable room and bed in a rustic lodge type room. Loved the back porch and the setting. Great linens, shower and great smelling soaps and shampoo. Would stay here again. Also liked the great room that was available w coffee, microwave , dining table, etc. Less than a mike from town so you coyld also walk there..

We needed a late checkout but they would not allow( we were willing to pay a fee). There were still rooms available the next day so that was not the issue.

They did not serve breakfast, they had coffee/tea. They only had one refrigerator in the common room, which was unique.

They had the air conditioner set to 60 and it was damp and cold outside, it took awhile for the room to warm up. There was no guide to how to use the TV or what stations were what. No on site assistance, had to go across the street to get help at a sister hotel, not good in the rain.

Having access to Mirbeau Spa was nice - had several meals there. Popular restaurant also located directly across the street (with nice coffee shop/bakery attached). Easy access to town (short walk with sidewalks the whole distance, or very fast car ride)

Room had an odd smell to it, we didn't complain as it was a short stay, but it was noticeable.

The room was extremely clean which exceeded our expectations and we enjoyed the rustic cottage motif. The staff at Mirbeau were also friendly and accommodating :)

Adding a small refrigerator to the room would be a nice touch.

Rustic ambiance. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient to dowtown skeneatles. 3 minute drive.

Noise from road. Our unit lacked a back deck with adirondak chair. Would have booked another room had we known.

We didn’t get breakfast. Don’t think it was offered.

We felt like they were a little arrogant when we checked in at the Mirbeau desk. OK, we were only staying at the lodge and not the $600 a night Mirabeau, but still…

Location was great and the room was clean. Staff who checked us in were friendly and professional.

The sitting area at the rear of the property was tired and could use some updating/ painting / cleaning up a bit.

The Lodgings were quirky, very clean and the Great Room provided an opportunity to spend time together & meet other guests.

Check in staff at Mirbeau Inn were not particularly helpful. Bathroom was dark.
