The location is a dream, and the actual building and the stay are just as highly rated. Breakfast was delicious, extra accommodations were offered and made when necessary (with the entire stay too, not just breakfast). I couldn’t believe how clean the room and the whole property was. It was quiet and welcoming, and Linda (the owner) was such an exceptional host. She was so friendly and responsive and so wonderful to talk to. I used to live in New Bern, but after having come back to visit after four years, I truly picked the best spot to stay! I will definitely be booking here again for my next trip into town!

What a wonderful 3-day getaway we had at the Meadows Inn! Linda, the owner, was the perfect hostess and her lovely inn is centrally located in the beautiful little town of New Bern. We were able to walk to all of the tourist attractions and lovely restaurants Linda so kindly recommended. Thanks for everything, Linda…especially your yummy breakfasts!

A great place to stay. Our expectations were exceeded! The historic inn is very well maintained. The innkeeper Linda is a lovely person. She prepares a fantastic breakfast, the best we ever had in the US! There is a pub next door. The location is perfect for exploring historic New Bern by step. If we return to New Bern we'll definitely stay in Meadows Inn.

We just had two days.

Location, room, Inn Keeper and Staff, and the breakfast and goodies set out to enjoy during the stay was excellent. Linda, the Inn Keeper made her guest feel very at home. You felt comfortable and safe in her establishment. At breakfast you can sit alone or join others which I did and met some wonderful people. Linda gave great suggestions for things you could enjoy during the day and place to eat. I took the History Trolly Tour and so grateful I did. Wish i could have stayed 2-3 more days to take in all the sites and History that are in New Bern and continue to enjoy the lovely accommodations.

Lovely well kept inn in a great location we left our car and were able to walk everywhere Linda was an excellent host and made scrumptious breakfast every single day as well as having wine and water available for the guests.

There wasn't one thing I did not like! We will definitely plan to stay again on our next visit to New Bern

Breakfast and location could not have been better. The house itself was was historically beautiful and interesting. However, the best thing about Meadows Inn was Linda, the owner. As well as being a great and accessible resource, Linda made us feel genuinely welcome and at home. She creates a great environment for all her guests to connect and interact- that was an unexpected gift!

The only thing I would have liked was a softer/thinner pillow. Will bring my own next time, as we definitely will be coming back!

The breakfast was presented like a 5 star restaurant. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable and the room had great water pressure. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do in New Bern. Our stay was great and exceeded our expectations.

This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast and the Meadows Inn was amazing. No complaints.

Linda (owner) truly goes out of her to make sure the service, cleanliness and breakfast are best. We enjoyed the conversation with her.

Where do I begin? Linda was amazing! From check in to check out was seamless. Breakfast was AMAZING! Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and needing nothing. I felt so at home here! We will definitely return to Meadows Inn!

I didn't like having to leave.

The breakfasts were wonderful & beautifully presented. The hosts, Linda & Amy, were accommodating to my small diet needs.

A sofa instead of chairs in the room is the only change I can think of.
