The Overleaf Lodge is my happy place! I have relatives who live locally but always make it a point to stay here at least one night! Summertime on the coast is amazing so what better place to stay...right on the ocean with gorgeous views!

I am not a fan of the new buffet setup where employees serve you but the food is still good. I remember it being a lot better and easier when you could serve yourself but I guess this is a result of Covid or whatever. There was one staff member (a woman with short hair) who was extremely unfriendly and acted like she was annoyed when I went up to ask for seconds. This is definitely not typical of the Overleaf as most of the staff is very friendly. I also miss the happy hour they used to do in the afternoons.

Everything! The room, the view, the room, the view. It was the best location to spend our last 2 nights on the Oregon Coast. Small low tide pool sea life , huge expanse of rocky shoreline that makes for beautiful pics from our third floor window. Non stop waves caress the beach constantly , which makes for great sleep if you leave the windows cracked. Many of the local bird life pass the window with glimpses of sea lions and pelicans. Room was clean and very comfortable. I loved the window seat, perfect for ocean watching when you wake up early and just feel like vreathing in the ocean air.

If I had to nit pick, the "breakfast buffet" really had fewer selections than some Best Westerns I've been to. I was looking for biscuits and gravy , scrambled eggs with a side of sausage links...and they served very small portions on small plates ...and things like a mushroom omelette muffin with (Oscar Mayer type ) one thin piece of bacon...and some kind of Sawgrass tapioca. Maybe I'm not elegant enough for that breakfast. Lol. Very nice breakfast room tho.

Location is fantastic. Easy access to 804 trail, lots of benches outside to sit on and enjoy the view. The breakfast was plentiful with a nice room to sit in to enjoy the meal. Enjoyed the free spa pools that have a great view - felt the facilities were quite nice as an included feature. I imagine it can get crowded/popular - but it wasn't when I was there. So did a lot of relaxing in the pools and refreshing on my walks along the 804. I was given a choice of free beverage at check-in that I wasn't expecting - a nice little extra to help you not feel quite as bad about the cost of the room!

The rooms, like so many hotels, are not sound-proofed. I could hear people and also super squeaky floors above me. I do believe you pay extra if you want a top floor. But for what we pay for rooms, not sure why hotels don't invest in better sound proofing. Luckily, no one was noisy into the wee hours during my stay.

We thought the quality of the hot breakfast and the way it was served was very clever considering COVID safe practices. Also, the large dining area and limited people per scheduled times allowed for social distancing while eating...complete with views. The grounds are beautifully kept adding another dimension to the sea view.

Because we have stayed once before and were automatically given a room with outdoor access and seating, we were surprised to be assigned a second floor room with window views. It was fine; the views great, but we might know to be a bit more specific about a request in a future booking. Our room was a bit warm at night and we didn't feel we could leave the window open. No AC wasn't a big deal and we were offered a fan but in warmer weather this could have been a problem.

All the rooms have great ocean views, including our double queen room. The hotel is in a great location in Yachats close to town. The included breakfast is a step above the usual free hotel breakfast.

Kinda spendy, but not unreasonable. If you are simply looking for a bed to crash in, there are more affordable options even in Yachats. No AC which is generally okay for the Oregon Coast but the room does get a little stuffy/damp unless you open the patio door and front door to the breeze.

The homemade granola was good but sorry that the high price we paid for the room was not for your advertised beautiful breakfast buffet but a banana and a individual pkg serving of raisen bran or cornflakes. The hot offering was not warm when delivered to our door and not tasty sorry.

We were under the assumption that you had a pool. Did not realize that it was a "for pay" salt soak pool. Very disappointing as your literature leads you to believe you have a pool that as a guest you have available to look out at the ocean from indoors.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, large modern comfy rooms and beds. Ocean view gorgeous.

Breakfast has to be scheduled in advance. I don't always know what time I will wake-up, so that's a little off putting, but not a big deal. Decent selection of breakfast items, but no toast available. I enjoyed breakfast, but hubby didn't like it.

The breakfast was well organized and food was good. Our room was a perfect location to sit on the balcony and whale watch. We actually saw a few spouting water. Hearing the waves crash on the rocks is such a relaxing sound. We will be back.

The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Especially the tremendous view of the seashore just out of my window. Breakfast was better than anything I've gotten in other hotels in these Covid times, and delivered to my door! Staff were friendly at check-in, and helpful with recommendations for local restaurants. I also appreciated the advance communication about which services were unavailable due to Covid, and instructions for making advance reservations for spa services.

I would have appreciated some cover from the rain while unloading and reloading my car. Otherwise, I can't think of anything.

The location and view was incredible, I had the windows open all night to hear the waves. Booked the steam and sauna and soaking tub and that was a great treat for free! Wish there was a little bar on site for small food plates and drinks, but brought in some food and bought some champagne at the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and great to sit and stare out the windows at the gorgeous ocean! Great place!!

Nothing to write about all good!
