We have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before prior to this one, so we didn't have any expectations. However, now that we've stayed here, our expectations for any other places will be high! The place is gorgeous if you like the historical old homes, and if you don't, well...it's still gorgeous! The owners, Barb and Ken, are a wonderful couple and very personable. They want to make you feel at home as soon as you enter and throughout your stay. We stayed for three nights, woke up to having a scrumptious homemade breakfast, and enjoyed meeting other interesting couples. The Inn is rich with history, which we enjoyed learning about from the owners who have clearly taken the time to learn about it as well. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and there is a lovely kitchen nook on the second floor to utilize if needed. The area has much to offer and explore, which makes it a perfect weekend getaway. We even got to see a beautiful family of owls taking up residence on the property. I would highly recommend the Inn at Ragged Edge for a peaceful and relaxing time away!

Location convenient to get over to town easily. House is beautifully maintained. Owner very accommodating. Breakfast yummy. Grounds were designed for us to just sit by creek and relax. Patios are designed to keep quiet company conversations. Our room privacy with grounds view. Tub was huge and bathroom very clean and appealing to use a couple of times.

Nothing really. Outside accommodations were nice like indoor. Enjoyed both, but this season we’re not able to use library and sitting rooms. Maybe next time?

The property is beautiful and the common areas inside the Inn are lovely. I was given an upgrade on my second stay to a larger suite. I enjoyed having breakfast with the other guests who recommended cycling on the Western Maryland Rail Trail, which my husband and I did recently. It was wonderful. I highly recommend The Inn at Ragged Edge and their hospitality. We'll definitely stay again on our next drive north to Canada.

Wonderful innkeepers. Ken and Barb are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. The property is lovely and very well maintained. And that gorgeous piano! After the first night, we started planning another trip back to stay there again.

We forgot to mention our dietary restrictions in advance, but that's 100% on us, and we got a special breakfast on the second morning.

The former mansion and grounds are immaculately maintained minutes from farmed countryside. The common rooms are many and beautiful and generous size. Our room, Rae's Creek, overlooked the tall woods and stream 4 stories below. Beautiful sounds of birds. Ate take-away dinner on the stone terrace overlooking the creek. Wonderful host with superb breakfast. They even serve their own blend of coffee.

The house and grounds are beautifully kept and make you feel like you’re stepping back in time to the early 20th century. The original woodwork and historical furnishings preserve that sense all throughout the house. Barb was so welcoming and delightful to visit with at breakfast each morning. Her quiche and breakfast casseroles are to die for!

When I booked our room, I didn’t realize that it was on the third floor! ;)

Lovely grounds, historic home (enjoyed reading about it in the living room with the beautiful concert Steinway grand piano!), Rooms are very roomy and decorated period, beautiful wood work ( not ornate but fine), innkeeper very friendly and willing to share background, pleasure and thought provoking to hear her story then and now. Breakfast was homemade and served promptly at 8:30...tasty. Gardens behind house so pleasant to relax in and enjoy the creek below. There are also sitting areas around the house in the lush green grass where you can enjoy the sunshine and the flowers.

Well, if you have trouble with stairs you might not like it .. I don't know if they have rooms on main floor. Staircases are very wide and easy to climb with a landing and a bench.

Loved everything.. Owners are very hospitable. Beautufle home. Breakfast was delicious. I felt like a spoiled princess in a secret garden.

Position of shower head to tub in our room. Had to lean back to get under shower head. The slope of the tub prevents being able to stand directly under the water.

We were charmed by this beautiful ,spacious ,authentic Inn. Barb and Ken have saved a gem for those who enjoy old world architecture, this Inn is a marvel.

For some, there may be things that are unconventional in the accommodations . We were happy with everything, and at the price, the Ragged Edge Inn made our vacation special and reasonable.

The property and home was gorgeous, clean, and felt homey. The owners were wonderful and so welcoming. They were also very welcoming with my 4 kids. Delicious breakfasts and very accommodating with my gluten-free diet. Great place all around to stay.
