Chris, the property manager is the backbone of this property. With his consistent flexibility to be always available on a property like this, it's a wonder how he does it all. It is his kindness that really pushes this location to be a prime choice for travelers coming through Erie. Not to mention the options for breakfast and the mansions history itself put this place over the top.

Not quite sure about the bins and piles of dirt outside the building. I think the units exterior is being renovated for some kind of patio. I really did like the garden that was there for my previous visit though. Sad to see it pulled up. I also find the decoration choice to be a bit confusing when you have such a gorgeous historical mansion, it feels like preserving it should be the priority. But these are all nit picky things as the customer service puts the location over the top with next level hospitality.

The house was beautiful with lots of history! Everything was clean and well-kept. The shared bathroom was always clean and although the place was completely booked during our stay, not once was there an access issue. I am a person who dreads sharing a bathroom with strangers, but we never had a problem here! The rooms were nice and the egg chair in our room was super comfortable! Not once was I left feeling like I was missing something. Chris, who runs this property, was absolutely delightful! He was kind and helpful with anything we needed. He was also a lot of fun to talk to! We will definitely be returning.

We had a truly memorable stay at this stunning Victorian mansion managed by Chris. From the moment we arrived, Chris welcomed us and made us feel at home. He showed us around the house and made sure that everything was clean and cozy for our stay. The room and bathroom were immaculate and had all the amenities we needed, but the real highlight of our stay was the talking with Chris and the breakfast he prepared for us. He truly goes above and beyond, putting so much love and intention into every detail, ensuring we had a wonderful experience. We can't recommend this place enough. It's a true gem, and we feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here. Thanks again to Chris for his warmth and hospitality.

It was a wonderful experience . I asked to check in late at 3 a.m., but Chris gladly agreed and waited for my arrival. He fully told me about what I can use, provided all the accessories and I fell asleep with pleasure in a clean room. And in the morning he fed me delicious food, although he shouldn't have, since I came from far away. thank you Chris, good luck to you!

Chris the manager of the property was excellent in communication, texting for my arrival time and was actually outdoors waiting for my arrival and showing me in. He gave me a complete tour of the house and made me feel very comfortable. As a single older woman traveling alone, this was important. The facility was spotless. The bathrooms were always clean. I felt as comfortable as if I were home. I’d stay here again without a doubt.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The thing that made our stay extremely enjoyable was the care and attention lavished upon us by the property manager Chris, who went above and beyond in order to make sure we were comfortable and made to feel welcome. The house itself has a lot of character and is very close to downtown but it is Chris's personal touch that makes this place special and I hope he is amply rewarded for all his efforts.

There really wasn't anything. We knew that the bathroom facilities were shared, which might not suit some people, but they are kept spotlessly clean and there was never a wait so that really wasn't an issue.

It was perfect! The owner Chris was very kind and very accommodating. I had booked a room for only one night for a work trip, and needed it ready sooner than they normally check-in guests due to my deadlines for the day. Chris had everything ready and perfect when I got in and I even had a little bit of time for a nap before the long day… Next time I’ve got a gig booked in Erie I’ll be coming back here.

A rustic old house with a lot of character. Very clean cozy and warm. We enjoy older homes and had a great stay. Chris our host made us feel welcome and provided great advice about the area. Breakfast and water bottles in our room was a nice touch. Will most likely stay there again.

I think the "5 star mansion" name is a bit misleading. It is a large house but it is not a mansion in my opinion. All the rooms on the 2nd floor (5 I think) share a bathroom. It was not a problem for us since we were the only guests at that time but could be an issue when they are fully booked. There is another bathroom downstairs near the kitchen.

My friend and I came up from Pittsburgh for a few days of relaxing and exploring. Chris was the best host we've ever had at a B&B, he was very courteous, helped us with our bags and made us breakfast, always with delightful conversations! The mansion is beautiful and very clean, the attic suite we stayed in was spacious and the beds are so comfortable! We'll definitely be coming back!

Chris was amazing and was extremely clear in letting me know the check-in and in house details. He was extremely kind in taking care of me and was the go to person for any details about travel around Erie. The property was beautiful and I had a pleasant stay. Because of Chris I would want to give this property a 5 star rating, it was fascinating for me to see one person not only managing the property but making breakfast and cleaning too. Overall, my stay was super comfortable.
