If you want to stay in town and not pay lakefront prices, this is a great place. Newly renovated, with easy parking. A five-minute drive from the lakefront and just a few minutes from downtown. We got a suite with three beds (one bathroom) for what I would expect to pay for a room with two queens.

Not a great place for an evening walk, but just a five-minute drive from lakeside walks.

Value was Great. Pet Friendly option without extra fees was what sold us. Cleanliness and comfort of the room was good. Location was convenient to many downtown attractions.

Cleanliness of parking lot and common hallway/elevator area was not very good. Location didn't feel the safest but we managed.

Staff was great, but you could tell they didn't have adequate or quality staff. There is a lovely garden (patch of grass) area with two areas protected from the elements. This was great for walking dogs, but the dog poop bag location did not have any poop bags. The room was mostly clean, except for the three dirt streaks on the shower stall, the soapy (slick, dirty feeling) floor (needed to be cleared with a water sponge), and the make up foundation on the blanket (I don't wear make up). The bed was comfortable and the room was adequately sized. The bathroom door could have not been facing the room, but what are you gonna do?

The hotel was easy to get to and easy to navigate around. There we're many restaurants and bars close by. It was very clean and there were no issues of any kind checking in or out.

If you are on a fishing trip with a boat or have a trailer of any kind, the parking lot isn't really trailer friendly. Just so everyone knows. The only thing that I had a problem with was this being a new hotel, the plumbing fixtures were installed incorrectly. Nothing serious but the sinks hot side was cold and the cold was hot. The toilet was hard to flush because the 'guts' were in the way of the handle in the tank, and the shower diverter was installed backwards so you had to make sure the water was the right temperature before you got in. Simple fixes and hopefully they get them taken care of. Room 221.

The greatest Red roof I ever stayed. I stayed at 2 Red roof in my life, one was so/so the other one was a real dump ( I even quit as soon as I saw the place and booked somewhere else ). Give a try to this one base on reviews and gonna go back everytime I travel to Erie.

The only negative point is not about the hotel itself but about the never ending police siren. No matter which hotel you gonna choose in the city, you hear it all over town. It's very annoying after few hours. That could give the impression of a bad neighbourhood but from what I saw during my walk to Warner theatre the area seem good.

It was new and up to date

Inner city location, sketchy characters around. No hot water in sink.

All completely remodeled, clean & well kept. We traveled with a small dog, so they put us on the first floor with a blocked in grassy area to use for taking the dog out & for kids to play. Some kids were even flying a kite. Since the hotel is in the downtown area, this was a nice amenity, like a tiny private park! Everything was very well lit & cameras everywhere for security.

Our room was on the first floor, which was great with the dog. It was just two ppl in our room with 2 queen beds & it was a little cramped. Ok for just overnight, but 4ppl would have been very uncomfortable in our room. We saw a couple other empty rooms that had much more room. But I think they were trying to accommodate our needs with a dog when they gave us this room near the grassy area. In the future, I would ask about a room with more space.

The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. We brought our dog with us and they have an area to take them out! The price was very good and not far from Presque Isle. This will be our place to stay from now on.

The only thing I’d say that was a draw back is that the suite we stayed in had three queen beds and both room had tvs but there was no door separating the two rooms and the bathroom was on our side.

loved the set of the rooms and the staff being super helpful and immediately fixing an issue we had with our first rooms. The staff was really nice and did great overall! really enjoyed the little pavilion/smoking area and the fact y’all had a area for dogs(even though I don’t have a dog)!

seemed like the opening of this location was rushed due to things being unfinished in both rooms we had. nothing super major but was definitely noticeable. we are pretty go with the flow people so it wasn’t a issue for us, but knowing how people can be I wanted to say something and hopefully prevent the staff getting yelled at or being disrespected by future customers.

I liked the fact the room was entered through the outside. It made me feel as if I was on a balcony, and had the luxury of walking right outside, instead of endless hallways.

My room was a bit dirty. It stated it was 100% smoke free, but there were cigarettes on the floor that my toddler ended up finding and picking up. The toilet paper holder fell out the wall while my toddler went to put the toilet paper on it. I ended up calling the front desk immediately and told them what happened. The gentleman was very nice and even asked if I wanted to change rooms which I stated I was fine to stay in the room. The drawers were also sticky due to some soda that was left before, so I just wiped them down with the wipes I had. Otherwise the room was beautiful, beds were comfy, I like the fact there were different kinds of pillows as well. The booklet that states the wifi and surrounding information was a nice touch as well.
