Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Erie - North East, an IHG Hotel

We loved the swimming area that is set up for the kids. They loved it! Also their free breakfast was a really nice selection too.

Our room air conditioner wasn’t working much and kept stop working. The guy came up to look at it and reset it and said he hoped that would work but he said they’re very old and need replaced because many are having issues with them. Also our tv remote wasn’t half like working with some of the buttons so he said he’d get us a new one and he never came back and we told the front desk about it and they just said he was busy since he was the only one repairing things for the rooms and they just apologized but never gave us a new remote. Our tv was left on and stuck on just the one channel the whole time.

I've stayed many places across the country. And this hotel exceeded all of them. By far. I have to commend the entire staff for their excellent ethic. The place was spotless!!!! From the outer areas to the inner areas. You can tell every staff member took pride in their work. Always greeted with a smile and a hello. It was by far the staff that made this stay what it was. I instantly connected with Daniel at the front desk! He knew my little town and all. The other concierge as well, and the ladies in the morning were outstanding. There was one in particular, that we had quite a few laughs. She was above and beyond towards her duties and just being personable. I just want to make sure this hotel is recognized for their hard work and efforts. The place was literally wall to wall people, families mostly. Oh mercy, so much to accomplish, so much!!! They never skipped a single beat. What a phenomenal team!!! Thanks again for the wonderful stay 😁 The Walkers.

Just a couple key points to mention. And believe me, I understand 💯 plus some about why it is the way it is. The pool room. Beautiful set up, fantastically maintenanced!! It's the "odor" of the chlorine. That's all. And heck, you can't not use that amount with all those people. Believe me. I get it. But what about a ventilation system to help lift that fog of it. Just a ln idea. I love the place!!

We liked the location of being easily accessible to the freeway.We liked the welcome we received from Skyler.She was friendly and gave us great recommendation of the restaurant and its menu.That was very helpful after a six hour car drive . The facility is clean.The breakfast was plenty with its breakfast choices for us.Our stay was a great experience and we were happy before we left the following day and continued our travel to Syracuse.

The toilet in room 221 took awhile to fill up the reservoir and was loud when flushing.

We stayed in this hotel as it was one of the few available when we booked the room, but it turned out to be a good choice. We stayed on a weekend on our way home after a 4-week road trip and it was our first time in a Holiday Inn, but will not be our last on future trips.

As retirees (and grandparents), we prefer staying in places that are quiet and reserved, but didn't have the time to in our travels to stay in a B&B or inn, or boutique hotel. We wanted to be in the Lake Erie Wine region, and never imagined that a hotel in this area would be full of families with small children. We learned our lesson during this stay not to book a room in a hotel with a water park if we want quiet. Breakfast was much like dining in a noisy school cafeteria. The adults weren't much quieter; a group stood outside our room chatting to well after midnight and another loud individual, shouted at someone/thing on our floor at 2 a.m.. While we know that the hotel can't be responsible for its guests' behavior, traveler, beware of weekends here.

The front desk person Jakob at check in was very friendly and extremely helpful. All the front desk were so nice the next day. The house keeping people were also nice. The women working in the continental breakfast area kept it spotless, and were very polite. It was a joy to stay at a place that was clean and accommodating. Where ALL the employees we encountered were helpful, pleasant and friendly.

The hot tub was great, but the breakfast was FANTASTIC. There were so many items to chose from. This is the kind of breakfast I like to pay for. I have to double check, but I have a feeling all of the IHG hotels have this type of breakfast. I stayed at a IHG hotel in Middletown and I remember this type of full breakfast during the pandemic.

I needed a luggage holder for my room and there were none. I have a bad back and it hurts to bend over to take things out of or put things into my luggage.

Loved the breakfast.. staff kept it stocked despite so many people, quite impressive..beds were very comfortable.. I was just wished the separate pool that was 5 ft. Was warmer.. and wished the hot tub was separate from the activity pool.. it basically was a mini kiddy pool for the kids and parents not a relaxing place to unwind.. but otherwise it was great and my grandson enjoyed his overnight with gramma.

Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and breakfast was great!

I wanted to use my AAA card for the rooms so that I could get some money off so I told an associate of Booking.com about my dilemma over the phone and she said that I would hafto ask the motel for a better Rate with my AAA card so I asked the lady at the desk at the motel about using my AAA card and she said That because I used a Third Party to book the rooms, I would hafto ask Booking.Com for a better rate so I was not satisfied with the answer I got from Booking.com and I felt I was lied to. I would like a representative from Booking.com to call me ,Tim, @814-335-6952. Thank you!

Staff was very friendly and helpful every minute we were there. The pool areas were fantastic. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Direct access to highway for travel needs.

The only negative from our stay was one of our key cards for the room didnt work...but the staff immediately fixed this and the rest of stay was great.

The bed was very sturdy, but not comfy. The kids that were not drying off before running through the halls after using the pool areas. That could have been a problem with the very wet floors. The swimmers should dry off before walking out of the pool areas!
