Had a great full breakfast available. Nice clean hotel and rooms.

We were booked for 3 nights. For a price around $1600. We checked in late Friday night with a check out date of Monday. Saturday morning I got up to see a $2400 charge on my card. Didn't expect to be charged until i check out on Monday. Got that cleared up then Sunday morning there was a $1800 charge on my card. Talked to the same manager both times. He got it cleared up and the final charge was $1600. But my credit card had a hold of $4200 for several days till it cleared from the card. Manager said it was their computer system that did the charges, and he had no control over. He was able to reverse the charges but that 2 to 3 days to clear the card. Don't think I will ever stay at an Embassy again.

We liked everything about our stay. The breakfast was VERY enjoyable & tasty, our rooms were very nice & comfortable. We thought the location was just perfect!

The hotel manager would not honor the reservations I'd made for TWO rooms through Booking.com & said I'd have to contact Booking.com to settle it. EACH room was charged $98.75 more than the reservation. I contacted Booking.com, sent ALL documentation they needed to send to Embassy suites & after about a month & 1/2 .... I did get confirmation of a refund for ONE of the rooms that was booked & overcharged. That refund was credited to card ending 5821, which was used for one room. I booked TWO rooms. I have not received confirmation of a refund of $98.75 for the credit card ending 3105, which was used for that room. I've used Booking.com for years & NEVER had this issue of being overcharged before.

The property was in a great location! Walking distance to College of Charleston and King Street. It’s right next to Marion Square which was also great.

The carpeting was very dated - they allow pets and our couch smelled of urine. It definitely needs some updating/refurbishments as far as furniture and the carpet. We didn’t complain, we just didn’t use the couch, but it’s just something they should be mindful of. Perhaps switch to laminate flooring and leather furniture in the rooms, because it’s pretty disgusting.

Breakfast was amazing, so many options. Our room had all the amenities that we like. The hotel was situated in an ideal location where we could walk to almost anything we wanted.

Our only two dislikes or concerns are that in the bathroom there is a vent in the shower that obviously goes directly into the next rooms shower. Made me a little uncomfortable that someone could be watching thru it. I would also like to see the addition of hot cocoa kcups in the rooms for those of us who do not drink coffee.

Breakfast was great, We weren't aware that the hotel was once the Citadel so it took a minute when we entered our room . sitting area furniture was a little old. But all in all we had a good stay. Close to restaurants.

Finding a taxi service from the airport to the hotel, your prices $135.00 was outrageous. When I emailed twice and asked if there were any other options I was told NO. We found a shuttle that was $15.00 a person. on our own . I don't feel that your on line personal was helpful at all in this case.

The breakfast was excellent. Really ,miss the old pre-covid receptions but still enjoyed our time there. The Location of this hotel is great and all staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Would definitely stay again!

I really think you need to get rid of all the carpeting in these rooms. There musty smells but not to the point I would have moved hotels.

The hotel itself was beautiful and we love the way it was set up. The staff was exceptional, from the valet to the front desk staff and housekeepers. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The location was pretty perfect to where we wanted to be. The two beds in the bedroom were very comfortable and plenty of pillows.

My only complaint would be the couch bed. We were a party of 5 so we had to make use of it. I never expect any sofa bed to be as comfortable as a regular bed but the mattress was very old. Went completely flat when you laid on it and had several springs sticking out either side. You basically slept on the bars of the frame.

Location and price. The hotel does need updating, but was aware of that from reviews. The breakfast the first day we were there was not very good - cold mostly, but tried it again our last day and it was improved.

No maid service unless asked for, but have heard that is now the norm for stays under 4 days.

Although the hotel is in the historic district the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the window sill were dusty

I’ve stayed At Embassy Suite off of 1-26 by Tanger Outlet and the atmosphere was more pleasant, the breakfast area more comfortable, and the manager special seem more relaxed.

The lobby is is huge. Very spacious. The pool is in a secluded courtyard. The afternoon cocktail hour is so much fun. My favorite is the breakfast . Freshly made omelettes. The bacon and sausage was very good. The staff was amazing.

The elevators were clear at the back which was good as sometimes they did not to go to the floor you selected. The rooms were a little dated. The bathroom was big but had nowhere to hang towels or wet bathing suits.
