We got an upgrade so I am possibly biased but this is one of the best hotels my husband and I have stayed in after a lifetime of worldwide travel. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. When we needed a late bar snack after an evening on Broadway the bar tender headed to the kitchen to see what was available. (And the pizza was delicious!) great bed with choice of pillows and top notch linen. Molten Brown toiletries. The building itself is beautiful.

The only thing I would add is an ability to make a cup of early morning tea/coffee in the room. And if they could flatten the hill on the walk up from Broadway that would be helpful!

Great location and beautiful hotel - lots of history to this hotel and it has been beautifully renovation. Has a traditional feel with service standards to match - good old fashioned personalised service. The staff are excellent and nothing is too much to ask of them. Great housekeeping team. Good value on the rates we got on Booking.com.

Really surprised that there is no coffee machine or tea kettle in the room so no way to make coffee or tea for yourselves in the morning. There is a cafe downstairs with free hot drinks for residents but you have to get up and dressed before your first hot drink of the day.

Beautiful hotel & hotel room. Bed & bedding excellent. Housekeeping standard was exceptional. Great location.

The Pink Hermit cafe. Opens 6am. We visited the cafe at 6.30am to eat in, we were told by a lacklustre staff member that hot dishes were not available until after 7am. The pastries from the menu we wanted were not available. The tea was in a paper cup….. hardly the fayre of a ‘renowned chef’ & it was expensive. Needs work. The teenage prom parties on 2 evenings in the foyer bar.

The hotel was lovely and in a good location. Staff members were fabulous. Tonia, in particular, went over and beyond to accommodate our poor quality breakfast experience. She took off the entire charge and sent up a special treat to our room as a gift. Really impressed with the kindness of all the staff.

The bed was as hard as rocks. The breakfast was not good. The "morning coffee and pastry table" were not impressive. The little pastries were some kind of tiny hard sweet thing in a jar. Would have been classy to have offered something more inviting-pieces of fruit, etc. or just don't mention the "pastry". Just disappointing given the price of a night's stay.

Pink hermit cold and no atmosphere. No in room coffee. Had to go downstairs at 6am each morning to get a Luke warm cardboard cup full.

Staff were brilliant . Hotel looks amazing . Food including breakfast , afternoon tea and dinner were all great and catered well for vegetarians

The gym needs a refresh . The cardio equip worked well but you couldn’t connect headphones to most machines . The resistance machine is old and the weights bang & clang making it practically unusable . For a 5 star hotel this is poor . The lack of bar or food of any sort after 10pm falls well below standard expectation for international travellers

Check in was very annoying as they had problems with our reservation. They tried to charge our credit card and said it was declined. Gave them two debit cards and they said declined too. We had to call our credit cards and story short, our Amex was already cahrged. Felt very embarrassed when they kept saying our cards were declined. Than a manager showed up and everything was solved. ☹️

What an amazing staff! Austin, the bellman, Allison at checkin and front desk, Concierge and Host absolutely incredible! Waiters Tommy (Saturday breakfast) and Eric (Sunday breakfast) - ALL of these folks(and more!) made every one of our family feel special and appreciated. Even with the pandemic having the property short staffed, they could not have been more accommodating, helpful, and attentive to us. They made our weekend very special, and we can’t thank them enough for their hard work and going above and beyond. THANK YOU, Hermitage Hotel team!

Not a thing. This is a first-rate property with incredibly well-trained staff - they gave our family a wonderful weekend!

We ordered room service breakfast and it was excellent. I had two delicious flaky pastries and coffee and my husband had the excellent avocado toast. Perfect start to our day! We also dined at both restaurants in the hotel and enjoyed them both.

We loved everything!

Had lunch and dinner both superb Ambiance of restaurant good and staff amazing especially Tommy Food took a while to come but Tommy made up for this Lovely location - easy to reach Broadway and Museums

Key did not work properly so took ages to check in - also phone difficult to operate Mini bar empty - knew this was due to COVID Most of reception nice, a few had attitude
