Comfort Suites DFW N/Grapevine

The room size allowed.me the freedom to alternate between the bed and the sofa so I didn't feel confined. Breakfast consisted of hot items which varied each day, cereal, yogurt, fruit, and tea, coffee or juice. The location was ideally situated between my conference hotel and the Grapevine Mills Mall.

I had some issues with the shuttle service. I waited over an hour at the airport for a pickup and had to call at least 3 times before it came. The morning shuttles from the hotel to the conference hotel generally went smoothly but each evening, my wait time was between 40 minutes and 1 1/2 hours. It was very tiring after a long day, given that the hotel was 10 minutes away. On a couple occasions, I had to Uber back.

The staff was amazing, they provided exceptional service throughout my entire stay. The rooms were very clean, the surrounding areas of the building were also very clean, saw staff cleaning the surfaces for the sake of Covid I presume, so I felt safe in the sense of health because they were on top of things. Was a quiet area, but busy during my stay which could have been due to the weekend or the tour buses that were there; can’t say if that is a regular thing or a one off situation.

Beds weren’t that comfortable. Door (to my room) had some issues opening, but would eventually open after a couple tries. The morning fire alarm test was a startling way to wake up. I know it has to be done, just wish they chose a different time of day to do that. Can’t say if that was on the hotel or the fire inspector, but scared the heck out of me and my companion.

The breakfast was good, the ladies that was working the breakfast room kept it replenished with fresh food and beverages. Hotel was easy to find right off of the interstate, area wasn’t congested.

I requested for my rooms to be conjoined or close together, and this request was not fulfilled. I was contacted days earlier and informed of the effort to have them close but with the room types I couldn’t get them close or joined. I appreciate the heads up on this because usually I will have to argue about this but because I was notified ahead of time I knew exactly what to expect.

Outstanding customer service care. An 18 wheeler hit the electrical installation nearby which caused a power outage. In a matter of less than 3 minutes, the hotel has his generator running to keep everything working perfect. They are just amazing

The hotel is near DFW airport, so it is great for this. The staff is very friendly. The size of the room was good. We had a room with two doble beds and a sofa bed, small kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator, coffe maker). Breakfast had many options (make your waffles, eggs, cereal, yogurt, etc) and you could eat ir there or take it to your room.

They had trouble with the hot water the day we went. Most of the time was warm (more cold than hot). The sofa bed it is ok for one night, but for many days not so good because the base was not so confortable

After having an incredibly hellish time with international flights, canceled connecting flights, horrible mismanagement and understaffed airlines at the DFW airport, I had to stay overnight, luckily securing a room at the Comfort Suites. Sierra was wonderful upon my check in, going as far as to go to my room and have the air conditioning already on before I arrived, giving me a quiet, large room and just being a genuinely nice person, sympathizing with my horrendous travel day. After having a nice, warm shower and getting a great, quiet night's sleep on a comfy, king size bed, I had another very wonderful encounter with Eakaisha at breakfast and upon check out. As the shuttle was not operating on the weekends, she went above and beyond to organize a ride for me back to the airport to try and get home. Everything about this spontaneous but necessary stay at the Comfort Suites really helped ease the stress of my traveling through Dallas and I give it the highest possible rating on all accounts; mostly to the credit of the professional, helpful and incredibly sympathetic staff.

Airport proximity, airport shuttle, price, and complimentary breakfast

The poor desk clerk had a computer issue with the first guest, causing a line of people waiting for at least 30 mins to get checked in at 10:30 pm. The clerk apologized but there didn’t appear to be anyone available, even by phone to assist. Also, earlier in the day, I called three times to verify that the shuttle could pick us up and no one answered the phone.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for a family of three. Location is great as its close to the mall and other attractions in Grapevine.

Requests for more linens took a little while. Neighbors next to us were noisy. Pool was also kind of small for a big hotel.

Breakfast was biscuits and gravy along with waffles, muffins, bagels, pastries, orange snd apple juice, and cereal. ALL carbs and NO protein, except for milk. I only had a coffee for breakfast and decided to head out and find some ihop or something that had eggs and sausage.

The pool and the breakfast was good. comfortable room and good shower.

Only one washer and dryer for the whole building. was problematic trying to do a load of laundry. most places I’ve been have at least one washer and dryer per floor. But they only had one working washer and one working dryer. they actually had two but on set was broken. would be nice to have more ability to wash laundry.
