Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

Lovely hotel with great location! The staff is so helpful and willing to go out of their way for you.

They didn’t clean our room one day. We had been out all day and were hot and sweaty and ready to come back and shower, but had no clean towels, shampoo or conditioner. They were quick to bring some up when we called, but still disappointed we didn’t come back to a fresh, clean room. Didn’t ruin our stay but worth noting. Would still return again!

The rooms are comfortable but they are not fancy or anything spectacular.it's basically your typical Room, a desk area, a flat scren tv on the wall, shutter-like windows, a closet with ironing board oh and it does have a safe. I couldnt get it to program so i called front desk and tshe was unsure herself. So i just opted out of using it. I have had better rooms at the hamptons inn to be honest. I'm just more inclined to the sleek and modern look. You are basically pain for the location however outside of the rooms the building is pretty fancy it has a cathedral like and beyond with starer case and a den area so that in itself is nice to look at but the rooms do not necessarily reflect that as well. However I did have a river view Room and that was nice to have but again the rooms were not spectacular or out of this world that I can say they felt like it was a very fancy hotel. they did have valet which was pretty expensive it was 38 a night and to me that was pricey considering that you can self park however in order to self park you need to walk completely around the building and turn the corner so it's about a block and a 1/2 or 2 blocks of distance to self park. Can you imagine walking this when it is extremely hot or very very cold? We use the valet parking however we walked everywhere around San Antonio at the riverwalk so we did not Need to take our vehicle anywhere. The staff was very nice and very attentive and the hotel was very quiet hardly any noise. As always because of the pandemic you have to request for them to come and clean your Room. However I did appreciate that the receptionist told the this information up front where as some other hotels will not even mention this to you and you are unaware whether they will come by to clean the Room or not.

I did not like the fact that even for breakfast I had to have reservations in the restaurant located within the building and I just figured that for the price that I paid at least have breakfast included or not make it so difficult for a hotel guest to be able to get into the restaurant itself. We were turned away because we did not have a reservation I thought that was pretty ridiculous being that it was during the week.

The location was perfect. You’re close to the river walk of course and a bunch of local mom and pop restaurants. The valet was super sweet and helped me surprise my boyfriend for his birthday. The inside has this beautiful warm glow that is very inviting. The room service / front desk were very accommodating and quick to bring us food or anything else we needed. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was like a cloud. It was very quiet and relaxing. I would love to come back and stay for a longer period of time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Valencia Hotel in San Antonio, and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The moment I entered my room, I was captivated by the elegant and sophisticated design. The attention to detail was remarkable, with modern amenities seamlessly integrated into the tasteful decor. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was flawless. From their friendly and attentive demeanor to their extensive knowledge first class all the way. it’s a five star hotel.

nothing we didn’t like

I thought that the hotel was very elegantly decorated and had very professional staff. I thought that the room was very pleasant and clean. The room overlooked the river which was very nice to see but would have nicer if the windows opened.

I didn’t like that there was many emails prior to arrival asking me to upgrade; nor did I like that there was only valet parking for 53 dollars; I also thought that the breakfast should either be free or that the quality is improved as the standard was quite low.

Our stay was a 10 out of 10. The staff was amazing so helpful and friendly. They go beyond to make you feel welcome. The hotel is immaculate and so nice. It’s a warm welcoming feeling like no other. Our room was decorated perfectly. Our room was a large room with a very nice bathroom. The shower was great and amazingly hot water after a full day of exploring the city. This is a great location to all the attractions and the Riverwalk.

To be honest there isn’t one aspect we didn’t like.

The room is very clean and thoughtfully decorated. The bed is very comfortable. The robes are a welcome touch. As it was our anniversary a bottle of champagne and chocolates greeted us at the room. An elegant hotel with terrific staff, will come back for another special occasion.

The margarita at greeting at the front desk was just fruit juice. There was not really anything we disliked about our weekend.

Hotel was clean and upscale. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice.

The towels and robes were horribly itchy. It was like sandpaper on my body. Worst towels/robes I have ever experianced. The homeless roaming around outside the building, yelling at random people, approaching my family and making us uncomfortable. We will not be coming back to San Antonio until it is safe to return.

Great, friendly, and very accommodating staffs--Larissa is awesome. The hotel is very clean, beautiful, and located at a great location. We were very happy with our staying for a weekend getaway. Also the complementary coffee is very delicious. The hotel Derrego's restaurant is awesome.

If bathroom lamps dimmable that would be even better. When get up at night for bathroom, don't need much light.

This was twice that I've stayed at the Hotel Valencia on the Riverwalk and have enjoyed my stay each time . It's located right on the Riverwalk and is so close to so many sights and restaurants which made for a great experience. The staff was very friendly and easy to talk to , and the room was very clean just as I expected it to be. Thank you for wonderful vacation.
