Great location! 5 miles from the entrance to Arches National Park. The hotel is right on the side of the road so you can everything from the traffic. Everything is within walking distance and there are a number of restaurants and shops. The room is clean and spacious. It had a mini fridge and a microwave. Hotel also had an ice machine and offered breakfast.
The noise from the traffic is as expected due to the location, but we couldn't figure out what was causing the building to shake every so often accompanied by a loud noise. The AC is quite noisy, and the shower had a moldy smell. The staff were great with the exception of this one girl who worked the morning shift and usually was in charge of the breakfast area. She had a really bad attitude and would mutter under her breath and roll her eyes when a customer asked for help. Everyone else was great though!

This hotel worked really well for us. It's situated on the main drag through Moab (a small town on the edge of Arches National Park) and so was easy to find. Our two children (aged 7) loved the swimming pool and particularly the helter-skelter slide. They also loved the games room. In and of themselves these are smallish things, but when you're travelling with kids it's important to find a place to stay where they can be easily entertained. Expedition Lodge did that really well. The breakfast was also good (waffles, cereals, decent coffee, pastries, fruit), and we felt that in terms of value for money the whole experience was a very good one. There were also plenty of eateries on the strip, and given that we'd stayed in a few places where food choices were decidedly limited it was nice to be able to choose from a range of places offering a range of different things. As a one night stop over this hotel subsequently worked a treat and we'd definitely recommend it to others (and families in particular).
We liked more or less everything. The only thing - and it really was the only thing - that we felt was a little odd was that the air con in our room seemed to have contributed to a slightly musty smell. It wasn't a big deal (we'd seen other rooms where mustiness was a way bigger issue), to the extent that we didn't even bother to mention it to the hotel staff, but it was something we picked up. After spending a few minutes in the room we basically never noticed it again. To stress though, we really liked this hotel and if ever we were in the 'hood again we'd go back.

The location was wonderful and loved that my fur babies were able to stay even without a charge! I also loved that the rooms had 3 queen beds so our family had a ton of space for sleeping not that we can’t make 2 beds work it was a wonderful addition to our vacation! We enjoyed the pool and water slide as a place to have an afternoon cool off!
I was a bit disappointed that the breakfast Sunday morning didn’t open on time or even 20min late so we had to leave without our morning snack. The toilet handle was also broken, while it worked it was not easy for the kids to get the hang of using as you had to push in and down.

We absolutely loved this hotel. A three queen bed room was quite unique. Spacious room. Loved the decor, a tribute to roadside motels of yore. My 10 year old loved the game room which had a few video games and a ping pong table - all free. And the roadside pool even had a slide. The staff was super chill. The lobby/common area was comfortable, well decorated (even a little fairy house built into the wall). lots of seating. Standard hotel breakfast with a waffle maker and microwavable Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. Ten minutes from Arches. 100% recommend.
I think the bathroom facilities need some maintainance/updating, the sink/tub were pretty slow to drain.

Our kids loved the bunk beds and water slide!!! The breakfast was amazing! There were plenty of different choices for breakfast, perfect for picky kids, and plenty of space and tables! There is a water station in the lobby to fill water bottles before a hike, which is super convenient! They have Roku TVs in the rooms so we could use our Netflix and Hulu, etc. to watch movies and the kids were able to watch their shows.
The rooms were not the cleanest rooms we've stayed in. They could have been swept and mopped a little better. The water pressure also wasn't the best.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large and clean. Hard floors were perfect in a town where you should be hiking or biking on dirt all day. Fridge was of good size (and wasn't noisy). Breakfast had sufficient options (but not spectacular). Located a block from the best Thai place in Utah. Couldn't hear neighbors. City Market (groceries) is close by, as well as numerous restaurants. Also a short walk from the Mill Creek bike path and Bark Park (dog park). Loved the "retro" look and feel. Triggered some nostalgia without the downside of actually being old and worn out.
I found an article from 2004 that says 1,000 tractor-trailer trucks pass through Moab every DAY. Nearly 20 years later, I can't tell you what that number is now, but there are a LOT of them. And they rumble and roar through town (there is no way they're going the speed limit). Some of them literally shake the motel. So bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. They never woke me up at night. They should open the gate on the north side of the parking lot - then you wouldn't have to make an illegal turn into the parking lot if heading south (or circle the block if you're super law abiding).

Pool and hot tub were great, room super cute, had microwave, nice size refrigerator and the little table and chairs were super helpful. Good set up. Breakfast area was spacious, with wide selection of cold items. Staff were very nice. We didn't use, but the garage games and ping-pong were a great addition and being used by the kiddos. Nice mix of guests and met some nice folks.
Warm food options very limited for breakfast. Waffles and microwave breakfast sandwiches. While super clean in general, floors seemed less than stellar but also realize a lot of dust in the town.

We loved that the Lodge had rooms with large bunk beds and rooms with 3 queen size beds in one room. This was our two kids could have their own bed. Kids loved the heated pool, the slide and the game room.
The first floor was a bit too noisy for me (Mom) as I am a sensitive sleeper. The hotel is right next to a spot on a road that has a ditch so trucks would make loud banning noise when going through it. We moved to the second floor for the next nights and it was much better. The area that has sink doesn't have a door or even a curtain. The bathroom is extremely small with tub and toilet so made it awkward to change for the entire family as little privacy available. That said, we extended our stay for 2 more nights in this same hotel as kids loved the slide, heated pool and 3 queen beds. Also enjoyed playing table tennis. We could also walk to ant stores and restaurants.

Have stayed during the offseason (Jan-Feb) a few times now, and the value is awesome. Very pet friendly, heated pool/hot tub, game room, and decent free breakfast. Location is in the heart of town and a short drive to most of Moab's major trailheads and parks. Wifi is reliable for Zoom calls. Staff were all great.
The property is a little older and there's noise from the trucks that roll through town 24/7. Had some minor issues with our room's plumbing. Breakfast is free but lacks variety if you're here for more than a few days.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our kids loved the group eating area and video arcade - we ate our dinners and relaxed over there, instead of feeling like we were confined to our rooms. The property lived more like a house, since you could do laundry, go to game room, eat breakfast (awesome food to meet all needs), go to the pool/hot tub, and reconvene and bring in your own food for lunch or dinner. Plus it’s walking distance to restaurants and shops - we would wander out for a bit and not feel like we had to drive. We loved it and hope to be back!
