Hyatt Place Herndon Dulles Airport - East

The only negative experience. After returning from a long international flight from Africa was waiting more than an hour for the hotel shuttle is unreasonable. We called the hotel 3 times and were told it would only be a 5 minute wait. The hotel staff answering was annoyed by our calls and finally after an hour of waiting agreed to call the driver to see what was taking so long.

The location of the hotel was excellent and the metro station is just four blocks away from the hotel. Arabic and Vietnamese restaurants are very close to the facility. Inside the facility they have an ice machine installed on every floor for the guests. The elevator was so spacious and there was a huge space available in the lobby for the guests to sit on the sofa and relax.

There was no bidet sprayer pipe fixed into the toilets to clean your genitals and anus after using the toilet, Secondly, Everyday the same breakfast menu was served. During my four day stay I never found chicken in the buffet. Pork was served every day with potato salad, pancakes, fruits and other condiments. It will be perfect if the hotel will include some halal menus for the breakfast.

Great breakfast ,friendly staff. Didn't get charged for parking, I was happy because I hate paying for parking.

Not going to nit -pick. No fault of the hotel but I picked a location near the train only to find it wasn't running . Typical of DC to spend all that to build a beautiful system and realize it has issues and can't get it together to fix it(for years).

Room had plenty of space, the sitting area was nice and it had a fridge which was great. Price was amazing for that area.

Large double room, quiet and comfortable, with spacious seating area and quasi-separate sleeping space. The free breakfast was fairly basic but welcome, as was the option of eating inside or out. In addition to offering a frequent airport shuttle, the hotel is very convenient to the Innovation Center Metro station, a five-minute walk away. For a short stay before or after a Dulles flight, Hyatt Place is fine.

The 'inner courtyard view' turned out to be of a parking lot. I arrived late from an overseas flight, and the on-site 'dinner' options were basically mac 'n' cheese or a burger. I opted to walk to a Thai restaurant, which was a bit further than indicated (and down a different street). The hotel is located in a newly developed area of mostly mid-rise housing that, it must be said, is rather soulless, and all but deserted at night. It seemed safe but kind of sad.

The hotel itself just looked awesome, very modern very clean. The room was very comfortable We had two queens and a sofa bed, worked out perfect for the fam. He included breakfast was very tasty and a nice treat. Very close to the metro station very close to a kabob and a Vietnamese restaurant which in my opinion was just a great value for the money. As a bonus the airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes. The staff was able to accommodate our early check-in and even though we decided to go to the airport early because it was international flight the staff did say that we could leave our bags with them after checkout until late afternoon when we would catch the shuttle to the airport. They did not have to do that and we did not have to convince them to let it happen, we simply asked and they said no problem we can help you out.

Can't think of anything. Like I said everything was clean everything worked everything tasted good and the staff was super helpful.

Location close to Dulles (with free shuttle), and Silver Line Metro just a couple of blocks away made this ideal for accessing flights and center-city DC. Staff was terrific - cheerful, helpful and understanding.

The food options were poor. Free breakfast was fine, but on-site bistro and food were closed. There are VERY few food options -- one we tried was the restaurant at another hotel nearby. Afghan, Vietnamese -- probably interesting but not our style. A salad with grilled chicken would have been terrific, but nowhere to be found. The neighborhood is basically high-rise apartments and parking ramps for young folks who commute into DC or work at home.

The staff members went over and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable. The front desk staff was very accommodating when one of our family members requested an earlier check-in. The morning breakfast buffet was sufficient to satisfy the kids appetites before we headed out to the city for the day. This was the first time we stayed at this location, and we would stay here again.

Property was a little outdated, but very clean. The bathroom drains were a little slow. It would be nice to have streaming/casting options on the T.V.

We arrived very late at night, and the staff member at reception had a bit of difficulty getting us to a room that we booked and had to give us another room that was larger and with more amenities. For a one night stay it was kind of grand. We wished that we could have stayed longer. Also, the breakfast was very good, and the hotel shuttle staff member was able to get us to our rental car location directly from the hotel in the morning.

There was nothing really to criticize. We enjoyed our one night stay.

Room was compact and airy. Airport pick and drop was well organised. If an electric kettle to boil water is kept in every room it will help people who need hot water to drink or to make tea. The coffee making machine in the room is not suitable for making tea.

The shower did not have enough water pressure and was a drizzle. This has not changed in this property for years. This needs to be addressed. When I booked on-line thru booking .com the rate indicated was $93.97 including tax , whereas I have been charged $ 108.97 . Requesting refund of excess amount charged.
