Howard Johnson by Wyndham Virginia Beach At The Beach

I always love that I can see the beach from my king sized room! The staff was amazing as usual. Even allowed us an early check in. Even the maintenance man, Jose, was making sure we had everything we needed. I will continue to stay here every time, unless prices go way up! I can afford to stay an extra day and get all the benefits of other hotels.

The first 2 days we had the floor to ourselves. Then they put a family in the room right next us. I really wish they would have moved them at least one room away. The whole 3rd floor was open at that point. So putting them right next to us wasn’t the best.

I liked the location a lot and the employees were great

The room was clean except coffee pot, the bathroom sink was stopped up the whole time we were there, and room smelled of smoke although it was a non-smoking room.

Place was very convenient to just about everything. Not the cleanest place but our door was missing its seal at the bottom and sand just keeps blowing in. Staff was amazing. All the girls were so nice and the taller gentleman would run to get something if you asked for it(broom ect). The

The room was dirty. The building is in need of repair as well. No breakfast

Beds were comfy. Room was clean & updated.

Bathtub itself needed updated (the shower walls had been updated) & needed room darkening curtains to keep the light out in the morning.

The rooms were $50 a night with no breakfast and a $5 resort fee. I took a chance and let me tell you. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to anyone. Of course we will be wearing samples in the room since we know the rug situation. You can beat the price. I don't need an oceanfront view. Staying at this hotel we literally cross the street and we are on the boardwalk. The pool isn't heated but the days were so hot that we actually enjoyed the coolness of the water. There were towels by the pool so that was a plus. The pool and the surrounding area were clean the entire time of our stay. The hotel is dated so DO NOT expect a four star decor with a $50 stay. You get a small fridge, microwave and a working coffee maker. We were looking for a good place to sleep because our day was going to be away from the hotel. That is exactly what we got. Small details - hair conditioner was olive oil and avocado.. after the beach and pool that was kinda nice for my hair. Some reviews say terrible... it was not for us. The people were friendly and house keeping gave us everything we needed. They gave us a temporary parking pass before. Our 4pm check-in so we could park and enjoy our day fishing and some time at the beach.They get a 4 star rating from us.

I forgot to put my saddles on and walked on the rug. Once I got my saddles I took them to the bathroom so I could rinse my feet. OMG... I left footprints in the tub from the dirt of just a few steps. They should just remove the rugs if they can not steam clean them at least once or twice a week. They were filthy.

Loved how spacious the king rooms are and also the 6th floor over look was so good to watch the air show on

Other than the elevator (pretty sure still the original one) its nothing else to complain about just very small and very slow.

We had three rooms and was able to get us very close to each other. Wet friendly

Look on outside of property just basic paint looked wore.

Room was updated and clean. No bugs or mildew smell. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were very useful. Pool was warm and clean.

1 outlet didn't seem to work. It wasn't a big deal.
