SpringHill Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

I loved the room, the ocean front view from the balcony and the BATHROOM was awesome! Having 2 sinks with a separate area for just freshening up while others were using another part of the bathroom (shower and toilet) We are a family of five - 3 adults and 2 children so this room really worked for us.. It was not cramped but very spacious. The staff was great and gave us great recommendations for dining. Plenty of places to eat and shop were with within walking distance. Pool stayed open until 11pm - kids loved it. Breakfast was decent. Jacuzzi was great too.

The balcony was a bit small which made it a little scary from the 8th floor. The door leading out to the balcony had a slight raise at the bottom which you could easily trip on if you're not paying attention.

Location to beach, restaurants,etc Hot tub!! Staff where all friendly and helpful Colors of the hotel room where different and very pretty

I prefer a walk in shower instead of tub but it suited the purpose Wouldve been nice to have a real kitchenette for that price so a long stay you don't have to eat out everyday Bed was too firm for my liking, and pillows to soft but definitely not deal breakers

This was the 5th time we have stayed at this hotel. We love the location of the hotel along with the outdoor pool, hot tub and poolside bar. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Better breakfast options. Maybe bacon in place of the daily sausage and bring back the Belgian waffle makers

The room was perfect, we had a king suite with a pull out couch. We are a family of 4 (2 toddlers) and it was excellent. One toddler slept in a pack n play next to the pull out couch bed and they had their own TV and it was perfect and gave us a little privacy to watch what we wanted. If you wanted a pack n play would also fit next to the king sized bed on either side. Simply put the king suite was the perfect size for a growing family. We also loved the location, walk right out to the beach, and there was an indoor and an outdoor pool, the outdoor pool also had a bar & grill and you could enjoy a drink while swimming.

There wasn't firm directions on where the outdoor pool was (I knew there was one but didn't see it anywhere) it's separate from the building and didn't get to enjoy it until the last hour of our stay.

Staff was excellent and friendly. Breakfast was a mix of hot foods like eggs, sausages, biscuit and gravy, oatmeal station, yogurt and cereal station, bagels and muffins. Juices, coffee and tea. There’s an indoor and outdoor pool. Very convenient having 3 elevators and a separate elevator for the multi level garage attached to the hotel. Balcony facing the beach, watched the sunrise everyday. Our room was very spacious. Had 2 queen size beds plus a sofa bed. Separate living area and a kitchen with dining table and chairs. We enjoyed our stay.

The beds and blankets need an upgrade. Also the AC unit was loud especially at night.

The room was already cool when we got there, which was great!! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Fresh coffee was out at 430 a.m. the outdoor pool was amazing and clean. The front desk staff was very helpful and nice. All the staff was polite and friendly. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The view and balcony were amazing.

The tub drained very slowly. The hot/cold water was mixed up. The outdoor shower to rinse our feet was broken. There were no wipes in the gym to wipe down equipment before/after using. The outdoor pool was great, but the outdoor hot tub was not working. The indoor pool was filled with sand...and the water was very cold. Parking is a little tight at times.

We were trying to watch HBO movie and the internet connection sucked and didn't get to watch the whole movie.

THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TOILET AND THE MAINTENANCE GUY WAS THERE QUICKLY AND GOT IT FIXED AND HE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THE ROOM IS SPACIOUS AND I LOVE THE BALCONY SITTING OUTSIDE AND WATCHING THE DOLPHINS IN THE OCEAN AND THE HOLIDAY LIGHTS ON THE BOARDWALK AND BEACH. THE BREAKFAST WAS FANTASTIC AND THE PEOPLE WORKING THERE DID A FANTASTIC JOB KEEPING IT FILLED UP AND CLEAN. THE POOL AND SPA WAS FANTASTIC AND REALLY ENJOYED IT.

THE ONLY THING IM DISAPPOINTED IN WAS THE WAFFEL MACHINE IS NOT BACK UP AND RUNNING. PLEASE BRING THIS BACK I MISS NOT MAKING MY WAFFELS .

The staff made you feel welcome.Free parking was a plus.The breakfast was very good,a nice selection of eggs,sausage, fruits a good choice of breads(bagels,toast,muffins) and one time, great waffles.I didn't like the charge for amenities that was added on without them notifying me about this charge- no big deal since my final bill didn't include this charge since I didn't charge anything to the room. All the staff was so very friendly. A nice family oriented stay.

I only rated cleanliness lower because the air vents were clogged with dust and the smoke detector was dirty. I also do home cleaning and have a fettish for the detailed cleaning; otherwise,the room was clean.

Room was very nice. Clean, modern and of course the ocean view helped. Staff was friendly and helpful . Breakfast was pretty good....Would have liked a waffle machine... All in all a great place. Fantastic sunrise.

Bar food and service could have been better. Never more than 6 people at the bar but still had to wait for a drink. The gal behind the bar was doing double duty, (drinks and food) They were not a well apportioned bar. Couldn't get a Pina Colada, or a Mango Daiquiri, ...which I wouldn't have thought of except that it was on the drink menu. Outdoor shower near pool needs a grate to stand on to rinse off your feet. As it is, you're standing in sand, trying to rinse sand off your feet...lol...
