It was luxurious and historic. I literally felt like a Queen as I descended the stairs from our room to see a black and white photo of Queen Elizabeth II on the same steps. Also, the attention to detail, with the turndown service and the replenishment of bottled water every day was so nice and made us feel so well taken care of! Finally, the grounds were gorgeous. We loved taking in the sunset one evening with a cocktail from the outdoor bar, while our kids ran and played in the expansive lawn.

It makes sense based on the history of the hotel, but we felt a bit out of place. Not ever sure if we were formal enough and if our kids were behaving properly enough.

Very beautiful room, has that old world feel with a lot of history. Queen Elizabeth has stayed there, along with many others. This place is huge, beautiful gardens with massive trees, golf coarse right outside the back patio. Very impressive place.

Service was great, friendly staff

Room was not cool enough, a fan was brought for us to use, but it was still not as cool as we would had liked.

The room was very nice. Breakfast was fine.

I was charged a higher rate when checking out not the one that was in my confirmation email from you. I called and they said they would reimburse me on my American Express but it has not been credited yet. I was also disappointed we did not get the little extras left in the room that friends had said they got when staying there. They said it was because of Covid although restrictions had been lifted in VA.

We loved the beautifully manicured and luscious grounds and gardens and walking out the front door to find that we're steps away from the heart of Colonial Williamsburg! We'll never forget the kind attentiveness of the staff--especially the doorman who gave us an umbrella in a rainstorm and said just return it when you are able.

If you love the 18thC and the aesthetic of Williamsburg, you’ll love the Inn, which has gorgeous 18thC American decor. Our room was essentially a large, beautiful, supremely comfortable suite. It was expensive, but we got what we paid for.-

Nothing.

Beautiful traditional and historic hotel in an important historic area. It was totally refurbished about 20 years ago , and the original charm and atmosphere were preserved. Furnishings are timeless and exquisite. Service is personal. Hotel is very expensive but worth every dollar. It also helps support the Williamsburg Foundation which reminds us of our heritage as Americans.

Nothing negative at all!
