Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites

The hotel is adjacent to the Colonial Williamsburg welcome center where you purchase tickets to visit the historic sites. By staying at the hotel you will receive discount pricing on admission. There is a shuttle that is a short ride to the various sites. Simply put, this is the hotel that you want to stay at when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. There several events that happen throughout the day and evening at Colonial Williamsburg so being able to quickly return to the hotel to get warmer clothes or drop off gifts is very convenient. Be sure to check out the activities at the hotel.

Jennifer in front desk was great and so was rest of staff.... breakfast staff was very friendly also... location....

BEDS....had double beds in room both were hard as concrete.... beds need to be changed to softer beds...and needs bigger refrigerator and microwaves in all rooms...

I like the Woodlands a lot - its setting in the woods is really nice and peaceful, and in the hotter months the pool is a blessing. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast is good, with a nice selection of items available. Also really appreciate the access to the shuttle bus from the Visitors Center to Colonial Williamsburg.

One thing this hotel is missing is a bar, or somewhere to eat/drink in the evenings. Being slightly outside of town, it would be good if there were somewhere guests could spend time outside of their rooms, for evenings when they don't feel like going into town. The 'Huzzah' family eatery on site seems to have been closed for quite a while.

We have stayed at the Woodlands multiple times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time. The location, room size, and decorations were as lovely as ever!

We love the Woodlands, but it appears to have fallen victim to some Covid modifications that are still holding on. The breakfast, once a hallmark of the stay there with omelets, breakfast meat, waffles, etc...was replaced with bagels, toast, several other continental type items. It was not bad, cause they had quite a few options, just not as great as it once was. This may have been related to the day we were there as in the past they have modified by the day.

Breakfast was very good! We wished the restaurant was open.

pet friendly, great cleaning staff, there were windows you could open to let fresh air in, nice areas to walk the dog, shuttle takes you around the Colonial area, breakfast has a gluten free area.

wet towels in the pool area, sat unwashed for several days, and some clean towels from pool area had mold stains presumably from sitting unwashed before being cleaned. maybe this was an oversight, or maybe they are understaffed. would like to see non dairy milk added to the breakfast.

We chose the Woodlands for this visit to Williamsburg because it's pet friendly (we were traveling with two small dogs). Although our room didn't open directly to the outside, it was on the first floor and just down a short hallway from the entrance/exit. The wooded setting and paths were great for the dogs, and it was quiet at night. Nothing fancy which was fine! Staff at check-in were very friendly. Next door to Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center.

We arrived at night, and the property is dark and not terribly well-signed (desk staff did give us a map and clear directions). The water pressure in our room was low, and we had no hot water--we reported this to Housekeeping but no one responded, and when we mentioned it at checkout the receptionist just said, Sorry!

Large hotel with many amenities and activities. Pool and splash area is nice. Nice wooded grounds. Bed was comfortable and clean. Perfect for famies.

The hotel is very large with only two elevators, making for a very long walk to get our belongings to our room. We had a pet friendly room and our dog isn't great with stairs, and the walk to the elevator was very long when taking him outside. If I knew this I would have requested a ground level room or to be near one of the elevators. Breakfast options were pretty limited. The only warm option was an egg, sausage, and cheese sandwhich. Would be nice to have an option without meat on it.

The thing that isn’t advertised is that it really is children oriented! They have a sign in the lobby listing daily activities planned for the children and families! Movie and popcorn night, s’mores, glow in the dark scavenger hunt etc! They had AWESOME breakfast, every bagel or bread imaginable, toaster and jams butters cream cheese etc. coffee bar was huge! Hot breakfast, for example jimmy dean breakfast bagels sausage eggs and cheese, breakfast sandwiches of all kinds , even some pretty good chorizo empanadas ! Cereals, juices, milks, yogurts, fruits, granolas, cereal bars, muffins and more! The rooms were nice and room service even better!! Front desk was great! Easy, and I mean easy walking access to everything in the building and the pools! The splash pad was a hit! My children stayed out for hours , and it was so nice being able to go in for food and a nap and go out again! Check in and out , SO easy .

We arrived after 1AM and had No problem checking in. Our room was clean and beautiful. We had a one bedroom with a sofa bed in the living-room. It was a short drive to Busch Gardens and had lots to do for families. We played mini golf when we got back from Busch Gardens one day. The breakfast was okay. There was lots to choose from but only one hot item. There was something different each of the three days we were there. A breakfast burrito, egg, bacon and cheese biscuit, and a sausage egg chalupa. They were prepackaged, heated and just so so. The staff were all so nice. Everyone said hi and smiled as you walked by. It seems like they like working there

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and sagged everywhere so we stopped at Walmart and picked up an air mattress which worked well. The breakfast wasn’t all that great but served it’s purpose.
