The staff was amazing, the bed incredibly comfortable, the clawfoot tub great. And two amazing restaurants just downstairs.. Referencing the problem below even though the laundry is not done in house so there was nothing they could do on that front. The staff tried very hard to help me. Even offering me a refund though the place was so charming and the staff was so wonderful I turned it down.

I am sensitive to perfumes, and the linens were washed in very strong fabric softener. But the person behind the front counter helped me find some linens that we're not as strongly scented. I know enough people who have run into this problem I wished facilities would be more conscious.

We liked everything about the property and highly recommend should you find yourself needing accommodation in the area. More specifically we found the 1920’s property both charming and well maintained. We slept very well on crisp white bedding in warm rooms on a snowy night. The staff were exceptionally thoughtful in reaching out weeks prior to our booking to clarify a few details. Ample parking, easy to find, walking distance to sweet downtown Centralia including a number of restaurants to choose from, and the library across the street :) The sound of the trains brought joyful dreams to our little family but they do indeed provide ear plugs as others mentioned if the car sounds and train whistle are not as relaxing to you. We look forward to returning to this sweet and humble boutique hotel in the future.

We have zero complaints.

We loved the originality and history of the decore and building. It was lovely and a great conversation starter! The elevator was much needed and helpful for my mom. Everything was clean tidy. The staff were kind, helpful and flexible. We would love to return if the opportunity arises. Thank you!

The toilet was extremely low to the ground and not accommodating for one of our family members. She needed an assist to sit and stand in order to use it without any handles to grab onto to help herself up. The beds were extra, super firm, not very comfortable for that reason only, however the linens were nice and clean. It would be nice to have some sort of clock in the room, either digital or on the wall.

The staff we interacted with were lovely. The room was larger than expected. The central location was brilliant. The restored 1920s construction to the hotel was beautiful. Was my first time saying somewhere with actual keys, push button lights, and a deep claw foot tub. Complimentary robes, ear plugs, and accommodation for late check-in (we arrived at 1130 pm!)

Sound transfer between rooms is exactly what you expect from 1920s construction. Creaky floors, bed was massive but too firm for my liking, the trains can be loud at night too. However, the hotel staff does provide complimentary earplugs as they are aware of the noise.

So elegant and romantic. Felt like a European city hotel. What a treat! The same hotel in a bigger city would cost 50-100% more. It's worth the trip from Portland or Olympia to stay here to save on cost for a romantic getaway.

The one thing that you might want to be aware of is that the cold and hot water come from right and left faucets, just like in Europe. (This actually endeared me to the place!) But the hot can get VERY hot. Centralia is a more depressed area. You would probably normally stay here if you were already going to be in town or nearby. But there are plenty of options for food and shops within walking distance and a small movie theater. There's really nothing wrong with the hotel itself, and it's like a secret European getaway in the middle of a small town in Washington.

I am very much into historic places. Centralia Square and the surrounding area was a treasure find. I was a pleasure to step into the 1920's era as well as seeing Centralia's history. The people I met were charming as well. I was impressed with the security & self-service methods of the Hotel. Thank you Chari for the delightful visit. The Berry Fields Cafe was fabulous and a great way to start my day. Looking forward to my return to both.

The hotel is beautifully restored while offering contemporary comforts. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive. The room was well-appointed, and the bed/bedding were extremely comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and there was access to a microwave and refrigerator in a common kitchen area outside the ballroom. The adjacent sitting room was a bonus and provided sleeping for another couple. Having sinks in the room, separate from the bathroom, was convenient. Close access to downtown shopping, and an antique shop and restaurant are in the same complex.

Free parking was available, but we were worried about the safety of the vehicle due to the lot being unmonitored and in a questionable area. It was noisy in the room due to the nearby, very active train and nearby traffic. Although it's nice to have a terrace that overlooks the park, it is immediately outside some of the rooms so would be noisy when people are there.

The hotel has been beautifully restored with a great deal of love and care. I loved each aspect: the hardwood floors, the antique doors within the rooms, the comfortable sitting room near the lobby, the antique furnishings. Simply stunning! The woman who checked us in was so friendly and helpful. She was able to quickly fulfill a request I had, with a smile. The beds were super comfortable and we all had a wonderful night’s sleep. We had a corner suite and the view of the old buildings of downtown Centralia was great. We had a view of the trains as they passed through town, a couple of blocks away. It’s pretty rare to find a hotel that feels so cozy; so much like home. This place is special!

This hotel is totally unique and charming. Lots of history in a town with tons of surprising history. The room was clean and comfortable and tasteful and great value for the price. And to top it off, I accidentally booked our stay for 2023 instead of 2022, but the front desk person noticed and called so that we could rebook. Great customer service! Would go back.

Not much. For this price we thought this place was amazing and a very good option.

What breakfast?

Would have been helpful to know about the eating establishments on site. Due to Val. Day evening resturarnt was fully booked and other establishment was breakfast-lunch only. I never found how to turn the lights over the sinks on; so, using those mirrors a bit dark.
