Sonesta Select Seattle Renton Suites

The rooms were clean, room service was available with nice options. There were snacks, drinks, and ice cream in a little market by the front desk. were able to print some things we needed for free. The place was updated and very clean. The staff was very nice. The area seemed safe and away from trouble. It was close to restaurants and shopping by car.

The coffee was always out downstairs when my husband wanted it, they only put decaf in our room, and didn’t fill the body wash in the bathroom. I’m sure we could have asked for anything we needed and we didn’t.

We stay here VERY often. It’s clean, comfortable & in good proximity to family & doctors (often our reason for staying).

The person to check us in was alone & on her phone when we arrived, obviously clearing up a booking problem. A mother/daughter were waiting with their card keys & said they’d been given keys to a room that already had people in it! Then were told we had no reservation, even though I had the confirmation number from booking 5 days prior. She ended up making a new reservation, after she’d asked me to find my name on a guest list. Very poorly trained staff, which we’d never experienced before. The desk area, which has always been neat & clean was messy. I asked if there was new ownership & she said yes. When sharing this on checking out, the desk person said they had bought other properties, not be sold.

The location is near a business park in Renton and approximately 20 minutes from Seattle or Bellevue so it's an easy drive to various locations, shopping malls, or nearby restaurants etc. The room had two TVs, a sitting area and a separate desk area with a microwave and refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and the room had a fairly modern feel.

We had a room with two queen beds. One of the beds was so close to the A/C & heating unit that it would blow directly at you causing the room to feel too cold. My husband kept tripping over the cord of the A/C unit. The coffee maker looked old & cheap looking and we didn't even want to use it. Parking was free during our stay but after July 1st is was going to be $10/day.

The layout of the room was good. it was clean. There was a mini fridge , microwave and working desk and sofa. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

There was a towel hanging from the bathroom hook, not sure if the janitors missed removing it. There were other folded clean towels on the rack. We were not able to find the TV remotes. Didn’t report as it was late and last night of our stay. They should provide better coffee makers.

The value for the price was exceptional. The rooms were redone and clean. The most impressive thing was the sound barriers. It was quieter than most hotels at this market value even though the hotel was full. We were impressed with the quality of the doors and sound barrier to the rooms. Disappointed that the breakfast was completely unavailable and nothing was said about that in the advertising of the room when we booked--darn Covid.

The details. We stay in a lot of hotels and I notice construction details. Like tile in the bathroom was done neat and looked nice. Doors closed easily, no pealing wallpaper etc. Liked the upgraded sink and faucet. Nice shower and soap dispenser.

After a hard day of work in the city you returned back to the Suite in tge evening and found it still the way you left it in the morning. expecially When kids are involved. I called the receptionist and only to be told Rooms are cleaned on certain days. This is unacceptable to me . I am paying for a service and I should be abke to get the services I am paying for

We reserved two rooms & both looked to of had a recent refurbishment, bathroom very modern & clean, plenty towels etc. Bed comfortable & good AC

We didn’t have a car so the hotel is a bit remote although I did walk to Walmart in about 15 minutes. Plenty restaurants a short taxi ride away.

We’ve liked everything…in the past. Sadly, it’s showing the physical & managerial effects of the pandemic.

No more breakfast…why? What’s changed in the couple months since we stayed here before (multiple times), * The cost increased $30+ * They forgot to tell us there was a $250 deposit. (In the past, it was a night’s stay), we thought we were scammed * The tv didn’t work & the desk said they’d had trouble & would have to get it fixed…when? Is it Covid? It’s the perfect excuse for everything.

We enjoyed the quiet location. Once we found the hotel and went out a couple of times using our Google maps we appreciated the location even more. We were very pleased with the staff, especially when had to extend our stay because we were denied access to Canada because of COVID. I would recommend this hotel especially to someone working or staying for an extended visit to the area.

We didn’t use the indoor pool at all, there was no hot tub but the smell of chlorine was overwhelmin.
