DoubleTree by Hilton Milwaukee Downtown

The location was ideal for the Harley-Davidson Museum in one direction and the waterfront in the other and all other points of interest. Everything was within walking distance. The king size bed was probably the most comfortable bed we have had anywhere. The room was a good size and had a fridge, microwave and a safe which are 3 very useful items for us. The staff were friendly and helpful and seemed genuinely interested in what we were doing each day.

The view was disappointing and the decor is old fashioned. The hotel would benefit from an update but it was clean and well maintained. The corridors by the rooms were too cold. Hilton could save some money by turning up the temperature slightly and maybe using the money to redecorate

The room was ok. It was better that the Hyatt Regency rooms which were very disappointing. The bed was comfortable. There is a nice sized mini fridge and a microwave in the room. I ordered a cheeseburger in the restaurant that was delicious! It took a long time to receive it, but it was worth the wait. The home fries that accompanied was very good also. The price was on the expensive end. I was in town for a convention and the staff was amazing! They made us feel very welcome and bent over backwards to accommodate. Most of our functions were held at the Wisconsin Center or the Hilton. The Doubletree is across the street from the Hilton and the Wisconsin Center is at the corner. You can walk there is 3 minutes.

The buffet was not very good. The room needs to be updated. But there was a nice minifridge and microwave that was available. I didn't like that they did not provide a bar of soap. They now use refillable shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. The containers are locked to the wall so they cannot be moved. That didn't feel very luxurious.

we liked the location it’s surrounded by many stores the rooms were clean and the bed is awesome we slept so good and anything we needed service on was attended to immediately by staff without procrastination we really enjoyed our stay

the window doesn’t open I’m a little claustrophobic and need air from time to time but it’s not a big deal it may be a safety measure as to why they don’t open

We arrived early for a convention located across the street. They were willing to let us park at the hotel eventhough we weren't due to check in for 5 hours. While turning the vehicle over to the valet an employee came out to tell us a room became available. It was nice to he checked in prior to going to convention. Employees where very friendly and welcoming.

Everything And I Love Antonio at the Chevk in Counter He Had the Best Customer Service Ever. And So did the Ladies thst was there the Mornining of New Year's Day Both of them. And For VALet DONALD Rock He Also had the Best Customer Servicr Ever. I Worked with him at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. Doubletree is My Favorite Hotel Mow. First time Ever at this HOTEL I will be BACk at the one Downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin My Name is Regina Robinson

The hotel was in walking distance to a number of bars and restaurants. We were provided with a map of restaurants and a list of bars providing shuttles to/from Summerfest and told the most helpful walking directions to get there. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable.

A hotel offered shuttle would have been great, but they did provide helpful information.

We liked the fact that we were within walking distance to our destination. The room was nice but my biggest "like" was the staff. The staff at the front desk couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful, definitely A+ customer service!!!!!

I can't think of a thing that could have been better other than maybe receiving a dozen cookies instead of 2.....gotta love those cookies.

Outdoor patio and friendly staff

We came to Milwaukee for a nice weekend to meet up with some friends that we haven’t seen due to covid. We picked this hotel because we enjoy staying there and especially for the outdoor patio. But as we were enjoying ourselves a woman came by and told us we would have to leave by 5:30pm due to a function being held on the patio…she was very nice about it but we weren’t happy about ending our get together with our friends so early. Would be nice in the future to be told ahead of time that outdoor patio would be closed. And why would you close down one of the public spaces for your guests?? We paid for the use of that amenity by paying for a night’s stay at your hotel. While we enjoy staying at your hotel we were disappointed by not being able to enjoy the patio for our stay.

Room was clean but very small, bathroom could use some updating. Front desk staff was helpful. Great location if you need to attend an event at the Wisconsin Center.

The valet parking ran out of spaces and the ramp that was pointed out to me where to park my truck was not ideal.

I thought breakfast was included—no signs, clerk at desk just told me where it was. Waitress just caught me as I left. Price wasn’t bad, but for quality it should have been free. No sign that the first room I entered was a private party. Price for room was high, but I realize it was a Saturday weekend and basketball finals weekend.
