We have children with additional needs who can be noisy. We were placed at the furthest end of the corridor which really suited us. We were able to bring food into the seating area in reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked rooms to break up our long journey from Scotland to the south coast as we have young children with additional support needs. On the way down I booked the rooms about a month in advance and got a great price. However on the way back I only booked the rooms a few days in advance and paid more than double the price. Whilst it was an excellent stay I did feel a little cheated out of the additional cost.

We arrived at Norton Canes at 1030 p.m.and were welcomed by the very efficient team on the reception desk. Our room was absolutely spotless as were the corridors leading to it. The latter is something your rival competitors could learn from. Check out the following morning was also quick and easy. Norton Canes is a good spot to break our journey to the North and we will do so again on a future visit.

Everything. I had booked 2 family rooms (one for me and my girls, the other for my husband and sons) and they were allocated side by side which was perfect. Joel, on his first shift could not have been more helpful. A very nice young lad.

On the other side of my husband's room there were very noisy neighbours. Lots of shouting and the bathroom light was left on all night so when it was in the wee small hours he could hear the fan all night.

Staff were excellent- very friendly & helpful. High standard of cleanliness. Great having a bath & a shower with instant hot water & good water pressure. Very comfy bed.

It may be obvious to many but could do with perhaps a bit more signage that the hotel is in the services - after a long journey ended up back on slip road and going through Toll! Also overheard a lorry driver checking for their entrance as he was unfamiliar with the area.

A nice convenient location, very friendly staff, full facilities in a good-sized room, substantial fittings, kettle and brewing facilities - as expected and required. Nice extensive green outdoor areas for dogs-walking.

Heater very unstable on wall - clearly been sat-on at some stage, or had heavy weight on it - and it fell-off completely when I tried to re-insert the screws into the wall-plugs. Sockets over desk are too low - making them unsuitable for modern moulded plugs - with result I could not recharge my laptop. Generally, a lack of electrical sockets in the room. Metal floor / floor strips in doorway to bathroom very tarnished & grubby (just need bit of metal-polishing probably)

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming and a very rapid response when we accidentally triggered the pull cord alarm. Although we did not require any assistance, it was reassuring to know that the staff acted very quickly!

The room was a little "tired", sliding door to the bathroom was difficult to use as without a bit of brute force, it did not open wide enough to get the wheelchair through and once it was open, it was difficult to close again. Like a lot of motel style accommodation, the shower is over the bath, and inaccessible to a wheelchair user.

Booked a quick stopover on king road trip. Arrived after 9pm to a warm welcome and explanation of facilities in nearby service station. Room was clean and spacious enough for 2 separate beds and a bathroom.Glad to see tea and coffee and tv. As you would expect it was a little noisy next to motorway and services but it quieted down to allow a good nights rest. Early start but services accessed from door in hotel. An ideal stopover and would use again.

Good customer service via email prior to our arrival and our family room had the extra beds made up for us. The mattresses on the pull out beds were much comfier than the other hotel we stayed in on our way back up the road too.

The Hotel car park is accessed via the local road so if you enter the service station from the Toll Road you either need to park at the service station or spend ages trying to find a way into and through the bus parking before getting someone to lift a barrier to allow you to cross through to the correct road. Better signage and pre-arrival information prior to arrival would be really helpful.

I was given my room 3 hours early. I was attending my uncles funeral and asked if I could get changed somewhere (after a 2 1/2 hour journey by car). My room was clean and homely. It was lovely and quiet and very dark during the night. I would definitely recommend staying there. There are a lot of attached shops including WH Smith, Costa and McDonalds so plenty of choice on where to get food.

Accessed the hotel via the M6 Toll. left on a slip road via Norton Canes whished I knew about this access before arriving as I left the hotel during the stay via M6 which of course I was having to pay each time to get to the hotel. making the visit more expensive than it needed to be :(
