The bed and pillows were just right for us. We had a very comfortable night's sleep. The desk staff were very helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast afforded a lot of options even if the overall quality of the food wasn't great.

Quality of the food at breakfast could have been higher but there was plenty to choose from. We stayed there while it was half term and there were events in the city so, while the cost of the room was to bee expected (£177 for an overnight stay on a Saturday), the overall stay was perhaps not quite worth that amount.

The hotel is right in the middle of the centre of York walking distance to everything. The room was lovely very clean. Even down to the toilet roll pointed in like an arrow. Staff was very friendly really happy to help. It was nice to see a waffle maker In the breakfast room.

The Breakfast room was very busy and too crowded to get to each section of food. Would Of loved to have mushrooms though. Other than that, there’s nothing we didn’t like.

The breakfast experience wasn’t great. No where to sit and food options not replenished. Possibly the most disorganised buffet I’ve experienced. So much so we didn’t go to breakfast in the 2nd morning.

Quite expensive - especially as I was single occupant of room 895 euro for 4 nights Didn't like that you can't open the windows - even with Air Con I like to open a window - feels safer and like a fresh air

I enjoyed the breakfast very much. Good choice, particularly enjoyed the fact I could slice my own very tasty bread. Would have preferred fresh fruit and not tinned for fruit salad.

I enjoyed the whole stay, nothing other than the tinned fruit salad being changed for fresh fruits for breakfast could be improved for my next visit.

Breakfast excellent, room lovely and soundproof. Location good - 5 min walk from train station.

Needed a couple more hooks in bathroom so that towels could be used twice if 2 or 3 people staying. Hairdryer could hardly stretch to mirror for drying hair. Sliding bathroom door extremely heavy to slide. Corridors and elevators could have done with a clean.

This hotel is a great location close to the railway station and the historic center of York. The room was comfortable and spacious. It was in quiet area.

The breakfast room off reception was frustratingly cluttered with large chairs which made it difficult to navigate when carrying your breakfast food. This aspect of the hotel let the place down. Personally, I didn't think much of the breakfast.

Lovely comfort room. Allowed me to check in early. Very clean, comfy bed, great TV, fab shower. Bar food was decent. Overall very nice place to stay.

Breakfast was disappointing. No glasses for the juice. Had to use a cup. Waited at the hot food area for ages but noone came to serve food and I was ignored by a staff member refilling the plate dispenser there. Poor range of cereal.

The location which was near the station and the centre of the city was ideal. A lovely quiet room met with our expectations. A great place to stay.

The bar was not well stocked. No Scotch whisky and no brandy. Two of the three breakfast staff spent more time standing chatting than clearing tables.

We were only there one night but this is a great value hotel close to the centre. The staff were all exceptional and very helpful especially Jana on the front desk who went above and beyond. The breakfast next morning was buffet but with lots of choice of hot and cold. Will defiantly stay again!
